Philly showin' up today

Thousands of peaceful protesters have lined the road for over 8 continuous miles just outside of Washington DC right now! They did not vote for a king and they are well aware that Trump is trying to cut off their health care benefits to give tax breaks to him and his billionaire donors friends.

Tens of thousands in Los Angeles No King protest. Beautiful.

Massive crowds for the No Kings rally in Flagstaff @maddow.msnbc.com @thecontrarian.bsky.social @ezralevin.bsky.social @leahgreenberg.bsky.social #nokings

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. apparently embraces the outdated "miasma theory" of disease instead of the widely accept "germ theory" of disease, which may help explain some of the actions he's been taking.

Boston showed up for No Kings Day!

1/2 Here are a few shots I took at my town’s #NoKings protest. Saying I was shocked by the turnout would be an understatement—such an incredible show of solidarity and energy. Thank you @justjacquenette.bsky.social for all the work you did in helping to organize this.

The "I'll lower costs and get us out of endless wars" candidate is now presiding over surging costs and brand new wars.

1. Let's put this together. The assassin appears to be the follower of the New Apolostolic Reformation, which holds that American society is literally under demonic possessions. (And you, dear reader, are one of the demon.) www.wired.com/story/shooti...

I'm sorry but the largest protest of my lifetime is not the 7th or 8th biggest news story in the country behind "what does Gen Z want from Instagram?" This shit is humiliating. Rearrange your layout to meet this moment. Omitting the thing happening in every American city is malpractice.

Has a single Republican come forward to denounce the politically motivated and deadly shootings of lawmakers in Minnesota?

We are witnessing the largest protest in the history of this country! Pass it on … #NoKingsDay

Two crowds in LA: city hall and federal building (both sides). Some protesters made it into the highway, but sounds like they're gone now. Crowd huge and really spread out. All peaceful so far today. All I have live is the aerial feed.

No Kings Frisco TX #nokings #friscotx

holy shit, what a nightmare one of the best people in Minnesota, just a terrible, terrible loss

The news isn’t being clear about this but to people hearing about these Minnesota shootings: Melissa Hortman is the Dem leader in the Minnesota House and was Speaker of the House 2019-2025. She’s probably the most influential state-level Democrat barring the governor.

assassinations, handcuffing a senator at press conference, marines detaining a civilian, and a military parade for the president’s birthday. rough week for democracy.

none of us should want to live in a world where political disputes get litigated with gunfire and this includes the fascists currently encouraging the gunfire nobody comes out of the years of lead intact

We have entered the "The police is saying that if the police is at your door you are not safe call the police immediately" stage of making America great again

“A deranged maniac impersonated a police officer and killed lawmakers but if you’re an immigrant be sure you immediately comply with plain clothes people who won’t identify themselves telling you to get in a van”, what a fuckin country

the rational assumption for most people at this point on seeing agents of the state is that there’s a good chance they’re going to kidnap or murder you, whether they’re real agents or fake ones this is America

If you take one thing away from today, let it be that we outnumber them.

Los Angeles. Just wow.

incredible turnout in downtown Culver today, tons of people, cars honking, the whole nine yards favorite sign so far: “I like America like I like my wine: no ICE” I’m not the most creative sign person in the world but thanks to @tomtomorrow.bsky.social for the assist

The revolution is full of 60-year-old women who love their trans kids.

there are a lot of good people in this country we will win

“miasma theory” is about as credible as geocentrism and the fact that we are talking about the fucking HHS secretary setting health policy because of it should end this administration all by itself

genuinely hilarious compared to the scale of the protests nationwide huge loser energy from mister tough guy

If we’re keeping count that’s - - one governors mansion set on fire - one successful political assassination - one attempted political assassination -four elected officials arrested/charged/roughed up by the cops -one threat to arrest a sitting governor/liberate his state w/boots on the ground

States should be passing laws that make concealing one's identity while dressed as a police officer presumptive probable cause for an arrest for impersonating a police officer.

anybody who speaks Christian RW organization want to tell me what that list says about somebody?

Suspected Minn shooter Vance Boelter posted a month ago on LinkedIn that he was looking for work back in the US after being in the DRC:

Looks like Vance Boelter ran his security company with hiw wife and his brother, a retired local police officer --Sergeant Todd Boelter. www.hometownsource.com/laker_pionee...

The back end of the Boston Pride / No Kings parade

Solo El Pueblo (only the people) Salva El Pueblo (save the people) Chant at Cal Anderson in Seattle today

DC forecast looks great⚡

this is a good point, I think: insofar as there’s partisanship associated with this violence, some of which is leftist, the party doing violence is not the Democrats (but the victims often are)

For God’s sake let us sit upon the ground And tell sad stories of the death of kings: How some have been depos’d, some slain in war, Some haunted by the ghosts they have deposed, Some poisoned by their wives, some sleeping kill’d,

No Kings, Jersey City

Political violence is always unacceptable. This is a horrifying day for Minnesota, and a sad day for America. What has occurred is a direct attack on our American values and democracy.

A couple of flubs but it felt so good to have a the 10 year old kid who played before you fist bump you and say good job (she was better)
