Rep Raskin has been great. Rep Ocasio-Cortez has been great. And Rep Frost and Rep Crockett. Senator Murphy. Maybe no one knew exactly what to do. But such people laid down a clear marker. Let’s respect these and other elected federal representatives who stood out these first few weeks.

In my dream world where we had a functioning White House Press Corp, Trump would be asked why we're no longer protecting all Americans by tracking abusive cops. No one benefits from this except corrupt police. I want him to explain why this is good. How much do you want to bet that no one asks?

Bad messaging: We need to educate our constituents so they know we don't have any power. Good messaging: We will do everything possible to protect our constituents and democracy, we hear their concerns, and we're going to tell them daily how they can help us oppose autocracy.
