I should have known i couldn’t trust this lady… She up in the lord’s kitchen without upper arm fat

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Some federal workers are going back to work. The USDA has been ordered to temporarily give over 5,000 workers their jobs back. Dozens of CDC scientists have been reinstated after being illegally fired. The National Science Foundation has rehired half of the workers it fired.

Alina Habbard posted: NOTHING CAN STOP THIS MAN FROM FIGHTING FOR HIS COUNTRY. David Simon had a succinct 2-word response: “Bone spurs.”

What a photo

(1/3) It needs repeating: in 1994, Ukraine was persuaded to give up its nuclear weapons to Russia in return for the US, the UK, and Russia guaranteeing Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

So Hegseth claims that the point of changing Ft. Moore back to Ft. Benning was to "honor the warfighting ethos." But how does naming the base for Hal Moore, who led US forces at Ia Drang, not honor the warfighting ethos? It's almost like there's something else going on.

here’s the thing: why wouldn’t you treat every dumbass idea as potentially worthwhile when a month later you can just go “oopsies” and no one holds you accountable for giving credence to stupid shit?

NEW: RFK Jr.'s "radical transparency" means ending a 54-year-old transparency policy. A Nixon-era policy gave the public the ability to comment on HHS decisions relating to “public property, loans, grants, benefits, or contracts.“ RFK Jr. ended that on Friday. www.lawdork.com/p/rfk-jr-rad...

Democratic Leaders Stand Real Still In Hopes No One Notices Them

Over the weekend Steve Bannon: - Proclaimed support for Israel - Did a sieg heil salute - Issued threats against progressive American Jews. Bannon and his actions epitomize what it means to be an antisemitic supporter of Israel in our government.

An apology to John Rawls. I couldn’t really understand why he was so obsessed with the importance of stability as a political value. But now I do.

That’s how you write a headline, people.

I understand why these stories exist but it’s important to be clear that he’s not “saving” 16 billion, he’s choosing, personally, without oversight, to wipe out 16 billion dollars of government services to veterans and the disabled and food safety etc etc

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general. If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

Zelenskyy: "I will never accept any decisions between the United States and Russia about Ukraine. Never."

ATTN FEDERAL WORKERS: I’ll say this again: download all your SF-50s, performance evals, and your eOPF. Now. Print hard copies. And make sure you file an informal grievance with your supervisor within 15 days of any adverse action. Here is a template: www.muellershewrote.com/p/informal-g...

By the way, if you'd like to hear Rachel reading highlights from the Danielle Sassoon letter, you can see/hear that here (6:11 or there'bouts): youtu.be/uHrY1rSR1U4?...

Not that I'm trying to stir things up but I think the thing that's most mystifying to me about the writers-who-don't-read bit is like, writing involves solving a lot of problems, and it's much easier to do that if you look at lots of examples of how other people solved them. Why reinvent the wheel??

The conspiracy theory that until liberal journalists discovered and wrote about the youth gender medicine controversy, everyone was going to be a-okay with giving 13-year-olds double mastectomies and putting 12-year-olds on hormones... I just can't express how dumb this is, to be honest.

I need someone to answer this damn question!

THEY ARE DEFUNDING MEDICAID AND BUYING CYBERTRUCKS WITH THE MONEY. Dems stop saying "uh he promised he would lower the cost of living" and take the layup

we are witnessing - and i emphasize witness because that’s all congress is doing - the greatest political purge of public servants in generations. it should be the leading media story, since it’s likely to badly damage/destroy everything from public health, labor, security, diplomacy etc.

Guys Elon did *not* "award himself" a $400 million contract. That was a Biden-era contract and it's now on hold anyway. Elon is a massively dangerous purveyor of misinformation at the moment so now's a particularly good time not to mirror his tendencies. thehill.com/homenews/adm...

"Trump’s team considered letting the lawsuit fizzle out, according to some of people familiar with the matter, citing Musk’s proximity to the president and the fact that he spent $250 million dollars to help elect him. But they ultimately moved forward with the settlement..."

Wildly true.

district judges have a lot of discretion in how they handle this sort of apparent misconduct. it's critical that Judge Kollar-Kotelly put Bradley Humphreys and whomever he received information from on the stand and question them under oath, ideally tomorrow.

andrew johnson was impeached for violation of the tenure of office act. in the scheme of things, was that a huge deal? not really. the actual issue was that johnson was trying to scuttle any attempt to reconstruct the former confederate states on an egalitarian basis and *that* was intolerable
