Isn't the difference here that Musk can simply turn the terminals off? That's some pretty one sided leverage that Musk and Trump just don't have with Mexico or Canada. You'd have to assume they won't do that for the situations to be comparable, and I don't believe that's a safe assumption.

He's a laughing stock to many of us inside the USA also.

You sound so broken up about it. 😀

I'm surprised we haven't seen one decked out in stars and bars like the Dukes of Hazard car.

Wow that is one ugly bunch of MFers. I wonder if that's their internal evil showing through?

It was funny when I saw it on TV. Now? Not so much.

I'll stop pointing out how ineffective some lefties are when they stop punching the people that agree with them 80% or more of the time. All that does is help the fascists. Call me whatever you like, your insults don't land. You say I'm not worthy of the conversation, but you sure keep it going.

Fortunately she's smarter than you are and knows she needs to win to be able to effect change.

And what has your party EVER won? By your own standard you should shut the fuck up as well.

You don't see any such thing. You're lying.

I love it when the self proclaimed lefties that act like MAGA try to call other people "Blue MAGA." Y'all got nothing to offer anyone except empty self righteous purity.

There's just never enough popcorn.
comment in response to post
I've always believed MAGA hates Zelenskyy because he represents what they thought they were getting with Trump.

Hot sauce. Going to need LOTS of hot sauce.

And they somehow believe walking away from taking power in a party somehow gives them more power. AOC made a statement about this a few weeks ago. About how voters need to have the backs of politicians consistently so they could see that giving the voters what they want will keep them in office.

Ah, you must love all the hate you've helped bring to power. Screw all those LGBTQs, BIPOCs, Muslims, Asians, people with disabilities, older people, poor people and the environment. Screw it all, amirite? You couldn't be bothered to dirty yourself with voting for imperfect so we get evil instead.
comment in response to post
Well I hope you're enjoying what you voted for then.

Fucking hell

Trump doesn't understand friendship. Or allies. That's why he's so much more dangerous than a strong enemy.

THIS. No one on the left remembers Reagan's hugely consequential and successful Eleventh Commandment, "Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican."

If there's any truth at all to this statement it's not because Pete was a mayor but because nothing like this happened on his watch.

Will we ever know if the sales are collapsing because the "trucks" are shit or because Musk is shit?

Followup question. What about the non-voters? What do you believe it will take to get them off the sidelines?
comment in response to post
That makes no sense. The name they should have named is Trump. He’s the one that did the damage and he is the source of the retaliation in the air. His voters need to know he’s the one causing them pain.

You can do it.

"I love all the hurt you're causing." Where does a person's heart need to be to even utter that?

One of those two gives off serious super villain vibes, and it's not the one working for the most vulnerable among us.

Wasn't this right about the time Star Trek said we'd be having World War 3?

That sounds like something President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho would do!

Except the WHO they listed was federal government, not Trump.

Based on that Oval Office interview I'd say it's the Musk Trump organization.

I'm with the folks that believe it's a dog whistle to his supporters that it's OK to get violent to support his agenda. He knows he's got that SC pass, he's telling his violent supporters they get a pass too.

Did you ever see him in the original Night Court?

Posting something serene and beautiful that breaks up the onslaught of horror is a valuable contribution! Especially when it your own work and not just a repost of something we've all seen repeatedly already.

We must ensure that if we survive this we enshrine in the Constitution mechanisms to prevent this from happening again. No more relying on norms and handshakes.

Yeah, if that were true he'd be hating life right now.

They've been protesting a bunch, but the media hasn't covered it all, so there's more.

I don't believe Trump, Musk, or Hegseth particularly care about the US having a strong military.

I don't think anyone in this administration cares about the US having a strong military.
