Shane touched upon the fact that this is on point with trumpism. In fact it is domestic abuse 101.

Arrogance is not strength. Bravado is not courage. Deplorability is not goodness. Idol worship is not christianity.

History has made it extremely clear that you should never ever punch a Nazi.

All that is needed is one true patriot who was seduced into MAGA's false promises of greatness to finally see God's good light, and at the right place and the right time, show the courage to do what needs to be done. Like all social change, mass sentiment is important but it is not enough.

What is worse: The fact that he looks at the order as if he is earnestly considering it for the first time, ...or the fact that it has black sharpie all over it?

The Morpheus meme fits perfectly here; by telling lies that their supporters want to hear but secretly know are lies, Fascism creates the very reality distortion field that it thrives in: from outrageous braggadocio about their own greatness, to outrageous conspiracies about their imaginary foes.

Sad but true for other Christians like me to be sure. It's kind of like philosophy and Ayn Rand. Academia finally relented and ceased insisting that her views are not legitimate philosophy. It's legit shitty populist fascist philosophy, but it's still philosophy, nominally at least.

Congratulations to all the American evangelicals on ushering in the social darwinism they pretended to abhor.

I wrote a 40 page comprehensive paper for my master's program. It was graded B+ by my two readers, but I received very little constructive criticism. I've been tinkering with Gemini and decided to upload portions of my paper out of frustration. The feedback I have gotten is extremely helpful.

The crucial ingredient is moral certainty, which is difficult and rare in combination with the doctrine of diversity. But not impossible!

Let the guilty verdict be magnified infinitely by this unconditional penal discharge that it may never be forgotten. May this decision infect the harsh penalties given to every nonviolent offender and especially the truly innocent! Let decisive justice be done to Trump and his demons by God.

Either way to slice it, the half-mast flag is a fitting symbol of America's electile dysfunction.

Thanks for these. Brian Brock's, *Disability: Living into the Diversity of Christ's Body* explores some of the ways that churches can learn from disabled voices, including how scripture is read, e.g, disabled readers are more likely to notice that Jesus only healed if someone asked to be healed.

Thanks for writing about this topic Noah. In my theological studies, I encountered some readings on disability criticism for the first time. This piece reminds me that I need to take another look at that field instead of pretending that I understand it.
