The first one being basically a complete circle seems like something you want out of a starting attacking group 🤷 #KlaussTruther

Right, that's what will allow him to be TAM, because he's been at ~1.3M on salary. So, without that $4M transfer fee split over the 1st 3 years we're good so long that option isn't a huge salary bump.

...and presuming his option year doesn't have a massive salary bump, he would finally be able to shed the "DP9" moniker which colors his valuation right now. We have a long season to see if he's worth the option, but assessing his value becomes more straightforward if that happens.

That's fair and I'll be curious to hear your analysis. I didn't like it because we lost our "pressure release valve" up top (those 15ish minutes felt a lot like SD) but also you didn't just add a CB, you moved two others to different places on the field and that also destabilized things in that time

The end result was good but I'd argue that it the Yaro for Klauss change was a bad decision that they're lucky it didn't bite them. Pec should've scored and we lost our outlet up top when we got possession to hold and progress the ball resulting in basically no sustained possession for 10-15 minutes

I love having Kyle on the team and appreciate his tenaciousness... Buuuuuuuuut... Baumgartl or Nilsson can't get in the starting lineup soon enough if we're playing the ball out of the back

Well done Admin! This might be your best tweet ever.

This might be the week they stay out west with a Sunday night game against LAFC followed up by a game on Saturday in Seattle.

Short bench has me guessing that a couple guys (Ostrak & Zalinsky?) might have caught Baumgartl's illness

Watts did play great last night. Hopefully he can keep it up while we're thin on depth there

"that leads to goals" is the key thing you said and probably why it's worth it if he wants to come. That said, before we signed Morales I think we would've been better off going after a D-MID in that price range who could be a destroyer in midfield and is 1-2 levels above what Durkin was last year

Two thoughts, first wasn't playing on east coast a big thing for him? Second, in a vacuum I like adding him, but realistically is he that much of an upgrade over Totland (maybe a downgrade defensively?) to justify the price? I like the idea of adding a player of that quality, just unsure of the fit

Totland is playing RWB and Horn is playing LCB (with 3 CBs). Hiebert is playing LWB. Presumably Wallem will see the majority of LWB minutes with Joyner filling in, but Hiebert seems to get used more than I would have expected. 🤷

I've been carrying Klauss' water for a long time and defended him a lot, but he's got to do more with those 2 chances. Between the 2 he probably should have scored 1 and at a minimum he has to test the keeper on both way more. At a certain point getting in good positions isn't enough.

When you sent the earlier tweet I immediately thought, "well, that will be something like 17-0."

I second this. I don't think it should be a big part of the show but a quick best bet (-200-+200 odds) and then a long shot bet (+300 or more) could be a fun addition to the pod or maybe a just exclusively on YouTube either between the main pod and the "wind down" or at the end of the stream

My favorite part was "We will be admired again... Admired like we haven't been in many many years". Did he forget he was president just 4 years ago or is he admitting that his presidency was nothing to admire?

Tough break for Blom and Parker?

Since we don't have a fast, direct style left-footed option, I think the difference between them and Wallem in direction of attack would be negligible unless they're given individual directives.
comment in response to
post
I forgot Indy is left-footed, so he wouldn't be inverted. That said he's not the fastest player down the wing, so I think he might be forced to cut inside more often. Celio is pacier but his strength of going 1v1 forces him to slow down at times to beat his man.
comment in response to
post
I guess I'm confused why Wallem would limit Hartel's freedom more than Celio/Indy since they'd be inverted too. Is it just an assumption they're directive would be to attack straight down the sideline whereas Wallem would be given more freedom to cut in?

Agree to disagree on "actively", but to be clear Hunt and Kroenke are not on the same level. Also, I'm never going to criticize an individual for being a fan of the Chiefs, b/c they have valid reasons like you. My frustration is with new STL based Chiefs fans who say "well, they're Missouri's team"
comment in response to

What if I told you Clark Hunt actively worked to get the Rams to leave St. Louis to then market the Chiefs to the NFL vacuum left by the Rams

To point 3, I'd argue the home game against LAFC in season 1 to either end the race for the #1 seed in the West or make it wide open was bigger (at least had bigger stakes) and was a more anticipated Wednesday game. At least we got 2 weekend LAFC games this year 😬. But, yeah SKC-STL should = weekend

... Who we automatically know had less than Edu given that "he's #2 on the team". Justin's comment is a factoid about Celio's value to the team he stumbled on while researching Edu's stats. He's not comparing the effectiveness/value of the wingers on the team with that comment
comment in response to
post
It's not a slight on Edu rather a commentary on the whole team, Celio was #1 in that stat despite only playing in half the games (many of which were as a sub). Just pointing out that the "most important player for team offense" (at least prior to the summer transfers) was #2 for context on the team.

As someone who streams both Apple TV and Fox (YouTube TV) the difference in the quality of the streams is stark and makes Apple the no-brainer choice
comment in response to

To be fair, the anti-LC sentiment has more to do with being pro-USOC when league brass cites "fixture congestion". So if it's a binary choice, no doubt, but I actually think a lot of fans are fine with both especially if the league changes some roster rules to help with added games.
