Keep the Congressional switchboard number handy these days: (202) 224-3121

“‘It is safe to say that anybody in uniform would be court-martialed for this,’ a defense official told CNN. ‘My most junior analysts know not to do this.’”

Do NOT drop this story. Keep hitting it hard. They could have killed our pilots.

"That’s why the CIA guards don’t allow cell phones, or even Fitbits, into their buildings. Which brings us back to Bill Murray’s question: Why was the director of the CIA using a cell phone at CIA headquarters?" www.spytalk.co/p/signalgate...

It appears that Kristi Noem may have worn a $60K Rolex during her visit to the El Salvadoran prison camp today.

The incompetence of this administration is staggering.

"Elon Musk’s aerospace company SpaceX allows investors from China to buy stakes in the company as long as the funds are routed through the Cayman Islands or other offshore secrecy hubs, according to previously unreported court records..." www.propublica.org/article/elon...

Right now, there's a 200,000-case backlog of veterans’ claims appeals — our vets deserve better. I'm leading a bill to help tackle this problem. bit.ly/42jBdNF

Town halls aren't optional for us — they're a must. Because Kentucky voters deserve representatives who actually listen to them. Thank you to everyone who joined us last night! 💙

“‘The government is treating us like criminals based only on our tattoos, or because we’re Venezuelan, without a proper investigation or a prosecutor offering any evidence.’”

Wisconsin residents are receiving text messages from a (202) D.C. area code, falsely urging them not to vote in the upcoming election. These messages are not legitimate.

NBC News: The Espionage Act contains a provision making it crime to disclose national defense secrets "through gross negligence."   The law does not require info be classified, because it was written before the classification system existed. The law refers simply to "national defense information."

Hegseth, Waltz and company texting war plans to a reporter on signal is just the tip of the iceberg. This whole administration is full of incompetent, inexperienced, and unqualified clowns. Our national security is compromised in ways we’re just beginning to understand.

"It’s not clear how or why Geier, who is not a physician and has an undergraduate degree from the Univ. of Maryland at Baltimore County, was chosen... "He was disciplined by Maryland regulators over a decade ago for practicing medicine without a license... www.washingtonpost.com/health/2025/...

I had legit completely forgotten this.

I recorded a brief podcast about the reckless Signal security breach. My tone was calm, but my words were not. This was an extraordinarily dangerous failure. Hegseth should resign or be fired, and he's not the only guilty party. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/25/o...

JUST IN: American Oversight is suing Hegseth, Gabbard, Ratcliffe et al, saying their messaging via Signal is a violation of the Federal Records Act. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

It's critical for everyone to remember what an Executive Order is. It is the President communicating orders to members of the executive branch. Policies to pursue, actions to take, etc. They are not laws. They are not close to being laws. They are formalized memos to employees. That's all.

“Using a Signal app like this is hiding what’s happening from the government itself. And that is almost certainly the very reason for the use. These are disappearing communications…There also won’t be any records to determine whether crimes were committed.” talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/signa...

Congress is trying to kill the Endangered Species Act. New bill would amend iconic law's ability to protect wildlife. Today, a House committee held a hearing on a bill that would drastically limit the Endangered Species Act's ability to protect our country's imperiled wildlife.

In any other administration of the past 80 years, the defense secretary and the national security advisor would, following an equivalent scandal, now resign.

Ut oh. Tulsi was overseas during the Signal chat too. 👀 She refuses to answer whether she was using her own phone or not.

I saw the work by Olga Lautman and he findings were disturbing: Steven Witkoff was in Russia when he was added to the signal chat. Russia has infiltrated Signal and used against Ukrainians. Very possible they have the classified signal info:

Everyone deserves equal pay for equal work. But this year, the gender wage gap is even wider than it was last year. Let's keep fighting to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act and close the wage gap once and for all. #EqualPayDay

my goodness you can see Tulsi Gabbard trying to come up with evasive answers to Kelly's questions in real time

Sen. Michael Bennet: "Did you know that the president's Middle East adviser was in Moscow on this thread while you were, as director of the CIA, participating in this thread, were you aware of that? Are you? Are you aware of that today?" Ratcliffe: "I'm not aware of that."

“It’s so unbelievable,” a former White House official, granted anonymity to discuss The Atlantic’s report candidly, said Monday. “These guys all have traveling security details to set up secure comms for them, wherever they are.” www.politico.com/news/2025/03...

🔑 under-discussed point — why they were on signal:

As I explain here, security isn't even the biggest part of the Signal Scandal. This is to keep actions secret from the US government. It's how to do crimes, bribes and more. talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/signa...

This continues to be the biggest story in the country: DOGE has already squandered half a trillion dollars in 6 weeks. Not billion. half a trillion, $500 billion talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/irs-p...

Walk in the #forest #mushrooms #fern #nature #photography #plants #landscape #trees

This is insane.

Everyone is talking about the The Atlantic article: “The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans.” But take a few minutes to listen to this MSNBC report—it’ll blow your mind. Then think: what else haven’t we heard about that is putting military lives at risk?

"IRS Predicts DOGE Lost Half a Trillion Dollars for the USA" "in about eight weeks DOGE managed to lose the U.S. government — more or less light on fire — more than half of what goes to all non-defense discretionary spending..." talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/irs-p...

Michigan is protesting. A LOT. Medicaid cuts.Voter suppression. Solidarity with our allies. Attacks on the postal service. We’re on overpasses, in town halls, on the street—every week. But the media? Pretending it’s not happening. 👀 Read the story they won’t cover: open.substack.com/pub/distills...

I’m pretty sure dollars are DIRECTLY proportional to education success.

While Kentucky struggles with intimate partner violence rates more than double the national average, Trump's administration is cutting federal funding that supports survivors. The Ion Center relies on these grants to reach rural communities where help is already scarce.

Heritage president Kevin Roberts, in a truly revealing passage of his Foreword to the Project 2025 policy agenda, states that the project of “dismantling the administrative state” is not about the actual size of government at all. The goal is to cut “the secret lifeblood of the Great Awokening.”

"When did serving our country become the wrong thing to do?" asks Timothy Nicolazzi, a disabled veteran facing termination from Louisville's HUD office. He spends his days connecting veterans with housing assistance—work that's now at risk thanks to senseless Republican policies.

If cops get aggressive or counter-protesters get loud, the Darth Vader theme just might shame them into silence. 😂 It’s the ultimate attention-grabber, plus it saves your voice after hours of chanting. #50501Movement #PeoplesMovement #FiftyFiftyOne #NoKings #April5 @polrev.bsky.social

An NPR investigation uncovered 40,000 vets facing foreclosure due to a VA mistake. A rescue program is helping many of them, but others fear being left out if Congress cuts this new lifeline.
