I don’t think it’s a good idea. Too much of the series legacy includes the number.

Gamepass is notoriously hard to get in to it basically has waiting lists.
Besides PS Plus really needs games because it doesn’t offer comparable value and it will certainly help the game a bit so it’s a great addition.

Already confirmed they are making more hardware and no not all games will be on PS5 and Switch.

I think XV’s greatest hurdle was just the development side of things and directly led to content and pacing issues on release.
The Royal Edition is a solid experience and date I say better in some things than 16 and 7R.

Either there is a big payoff that’s being built up or it’s gonna just fall flat.
You can only intentionally try to subvert the audience for so long and a lot of people got off the ride at Rebirth already.

I personally don’t think Rebirth deserves it due to not doing anything innovative and missing the mark completely as a remake of FF7 on top of that.
RE4 is how to do a remake worth awarding even if it didn’t win. It added meaningfully to what already existed. Rebirth did not imo.
