Such an Anglo sentence tbh. In German you can't really say "believing in doing something"*. You can believe in stuff (=it exists) or in people (=they can do smth) But believing in actions for no specific purpose is such a weird concept. *some people say it but that's contamination from English

Making sure cops and the military aren't racist or corrupt is literally the opposite of being pro-cop and pro-military. Fighting corruption and racism means going after the cops, and they protect each other. You wanna have your cake and it eat, this doesn't work. You gotta pick one.

A lot of US police forces evolved out of militias who were often assembled to catch slaves that had run away, though. Like these specific institutions were made for that.

Making peace with joining is one thing. Being "pro-military" and "pro-law enforcement" is a very drastically thing. Endorsing and/or protecting fundamentally racist institutions just cannot be leftist. And I have no idea what "pro-US" is even supposed to mean.

According to OP

That's the issue. That's why leftists need to join so it's not a right-wing cesspool.

And it's not like you learn them all in one go. At least I didn't. I came across idioms from time to time and sometimes I later realized or found it the origin.

As a non-native speaker, I generally didn't know where n idiom came from. Sure "throwing a curveball" is obvious but also self-explanatory. But even stuff like "covering all your bases" isn't an obvious sports metaphor when "base" is not a big sports term in your head.

What star would a hypothetical transsexual be who has a unisex name and keeps it after transition? They wouldn't even really have a deadname.

It's very easy to trace, the transactions are literally on those blockchains forever. You have to identify the wallets, and it's easy to make new ones but you can probably eventually show that it was North Korea, but then they already sold it and set up new wallets

I'm not gonna give a dipshit special treatment for being more of a dipshit than most dipshits

I disagree. I think a lot of people would kill him if they had they chance bc of course. But I also think he's bullshitting and just makikg excuses to not have to spend time with her & his kid

I can't come up with one. Maybe The Color Out Of Time, I only vaguely remember it. But not The Call of Cthulhu, Shadow Over Innsmouth, The Mountains of Madness, The Dunwich Horror,...

He uses "understand" wrong. "An email requesting to understand" should be smth like "An email requesting them to report"

It would be weird if they just stopped if they lost their majorities in congress. Like why would they, they don't even care about their majority in congress now.

That is doing a bad job but she has done lots of actually harmful stuff.

They were way too nice.

She also got abused by her boyfriend who's also the dad of her child, and she has cancer now. That girl really had bad luck in life.
comment in response to post
Not even that secular. She platformed a lot of spiritual stuff and even cult leader John of God who raped and sexually abused over 600 of his followers.

As long as it involves Merz getting punched I support it

You can probably find that guy in South Africa, too. Maybe even more racist. They probably have less Gabber coming from small cars, though.

I don't think so. I think it would become more of a classic secret police that obducts people he doesn't like.
comment in response to post
Stop using "mediocre" for "bad". It doesn't mean that.

Most of them got away, there were 1.5 million nazi party member when Hitler took power. And there were a couple of thousand who even went to court over it. It's more justice than probably any other similar regime ever got but it's still a huge failure.

I actually played donkey kong on the N64 five years before the moon landing
comment in response to post
Nah, by then basically all the biggest nazis were either already dead. They most high-up guys you get are Göring (who killed himself) and Dönitz (who got only 10 years). And guys like von Papen even got off.

It's like if Poker for people who don't gamble, have no friends to play with and actually would rather play a trading card game but don't wanna spend money on boosters. It's pretty amazing.

This isn't about intellectual gratification, and I don't think ranking beings by the smell of their shit makes sense in most situation including this one.

Yeah. It's privatization with a wrecking ball.

Yeah, that was also Gore's big issue in 2000.

If you're up for Marvel shlock, Thor Ragnarok is a fun time. If you like weird stuff: The Adventures of Buckeroo Banzai Across The 8the Dimension Definitely don't watch Space Balls. It sucks. Absolutely garbage, can't overstate how unfunny it is.

This is stupid. You can't 3d chess this guy out of office with a bs explanation (that is legally very dubious and also ignores that the supreme court basically gave him immunity for stuff he does as president). Organize, protest, pressure the dems to block everything they do. Don't try this crap
comment in response to post
Anybody who pulls this stuff should spent at least a year in jail. Especially if you do it on stage at a public event. This isn't free speech. This is incitement to violence.
comment in response to post
Also the democrats need actual ideals and goals. Right now the are willing to support basically anything (as long as it's not leftist) to get into power. But they don't wanna do anything with that power beyond corruption and nepotism.
comment in response to post
Intelligence can also be a problem bc it makes it easier to come up with complex justifications to do stuff you shouldn't do. Bc 99% of the time people's actual priorities are determined by emotions and the rationalizations come later.
comment in response to post
Also, a lot of being competent is not about intelligence. There are skills and your personality traits. Discipline, reacting well under pressure, being easily provoked, needing approval,... E.g. Napoleon fighting aggressive was not a calculate choice, it was his personality.

They literally refused to drag out a vote so they could go to Munich for the arms industry conference
comment in response to post
The democrats are really not acting like opposition to a fascist regime. Or opposition at all. Hakeem jeffries and schumer, who are in charge, are basically like "they won the election, better vote for us in 2 years" and had to be dragged to go even the slightest bit beyond that.
