I grew up there. It’s all fun and games until you’re shoveling it.

Supposed to be in Seabrook for the weekend, that could be fun.

Literally having downed trees removed from the Nov. 19 storm as I write this, hopefully this one tracks to spare us in the foothills

Hopefully you have some good news that it won’t be as impactful as the last one. That was tough to get through.

Got a little gusty in Black Diamond around 2:00. With it being from the west it blew all the shrapnel that was still stuck up there from the east winds down. But nothing too big where I was.

They did say on the news they were going to go with worst case and update from there, hopefully this is actually the worst case scenario

My anxiety and my beat up trees both hope this is how it plays out.

It’s the same for everyone, no matter what outage you click on the map it has the same estimate. They said on the news they will given worst case and work to beat it. Hopefully they do.

I’ll share a few just from my property, it’s really bad man, really really bad.

Yeah, all in all I guess it could have been worse. We had 5 trees in total come down, at least only 1 caused significant damage. Scary storm.

No power in Black Diamond yet, PSE told me Friday at best. Meanwhile, our shop took it on the chin.

We live at Lake Sawyer, we bailed out to Tacoma when trees started coming down around 3. Not even a whisper of a breeze here but keeping an eye on things with our ring cameras

My wife and I bailed out of Black Diamond at about 3:15, trees were already coming down then

It went zero to WTF in Black Diamond in the span of about 5 minutes.

It went from zero to 50mph gusts in the blink of an eye. We live in BD, crashing in Tacoma tonight so my wife can work.
Stay safe as well!!!

Just drove from Black Diamond to Tacoma… Sketchy Between BD and Covington, saw a tree down suspended by power lines.

Appreciate it, we bailed out to Tacoma when we started seeing trees come down. Stay safe tonight.

Thats also why the wind is worse along the west side of the cascades, unfortunately where I am.

It’s starting to ramp up here in Black Diamond. Still have periods of dead calm but they are getting shorter and shorter

It’s because of how it gets its energy. Hurricanes are generated by warm waters, this is being fed by temperature variants that are causing rotation. Also not talking of storm surge because this acts like a vacuum where it sucks the wind out, not pushing water in to our shores.

Wind started to pick up in Black Diamond within the last 30 minutes or so. Pretty steady breeze with 25-ish mph gusts

Had steady 10 - 15mph down in lake sawyer from about 10:15 - 11:30, with some higher gusts. Hard enough some very small branches came down. Dead calm now.

Looks like both the HRRR and NAM have backed off ever so slightly since this morning. Fingers crossed. GFS has it as just a breezy evening.

My wife and I live in Black Diamond, we’re heading to her sister’s in Tacoma early afternoon. Figured it was safer/easier to ride it out there.
