I’m not sure I buy this narrative. Like ok, GDP per capita has declined because we had a massive influx of new migrants — totally predictable. That’s always framed as a bad thing, but who’s to say, once all those people are more settled in a few years, that won’t have a lot of beneficial outcomes?
