In future generations, when your children and grandchildren look back on this moment, they are not going to ask about the price of eggs. They are going to ask you what you did. Not what you felt. Not what you paid. But what you did. And I want to be able to say I did everything I possibly could.

"America has no king" seems like a good theme to rally around

It was an honor to sign the guest book in the home of Anne Frank. I was here as a younger man and thought about her life as a dark chapter of history. Today, I can’t help but think of her story as one of caution. Our world is fragile, and it’s incumbent on us not to break it.

Ok that made me laugh

Why don’t Democrats have more centralized coordination of talking points like the Republicans have had for so long?

NEW: Trump fired the USAID Inspector General just one day after the IG filed a report critical of Trump's dismantling of the agency. www.cnn.com/2025/02/11/p...

If you are looking for someone to say that all is lost and the courts can't help protect democracy, you are following the wrong guy. If you are looking for someone who fights hard and will never give up, I'm here for you.

A coalition of news organizations said in a court filing that video exhibits from a Jan. 6 riot case had "disappeared" from a government platform that provided access to evidence used in court.

Elon Musk is proving to be a worse president than I thought he would be

Do Republicans like predatory overdraft fees and financial crises? www.npr.org/2025/02/10/1...

Republicans hard at work ripping off Americans in the interest of the oligarchy - now they’re shutting down consumer financial protection. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/09/b...

It’s amazing to me that politicians don’t commit to post first on @bsky.app and to engage with constituents here THIS is more powerful than CNN , MSNBC, The Post will ever be. You can broadcast for 9 mins on a declining medium, or engage here and start a real discussion. Which is more powerful?

I expect the Felon-in-Chief will throw Musk under the bus when backlash gets too hot. Then, grab some popcorn.

Green: I rise to announce that I will bring articles of impeachment against the president for dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done.

We are members of Congress at the Treasury Department. We want to be let in to provide oversight on behalf of our constituents. @jasmineforus.bsky.social @sethmagaziner.bsky.social

If the Treasury Secretary does not remove DOGE’s access to the Treasury payment systems at once: Congress must immediately act. That is why Rep. Jeffries and I will work together on legislation to stop unlawful meddling in the Treasury Department’s payment systems.

A physician member of the AMA—who requested anonymity for fear of retaliation—is sounding the alarm. “The current admin prohibited all communications of the CDC and other agencies with the public. Now, the public and physicians are left with no info on food recalls or disease outbreaks.“

I so agree with you, Taylor. I feel like I am banging on a drum trying to warn people but they are strangely comatose

Trump tries to blame Biden for his bad judgment

Last night, President Trump took an unconstitutional step, ordering the impoundment of funds approved by Congress. The power of the purse belongs to Congress, not the president. We must fight back and win. I need your help to spread the word—our future depends on it.

Russ Vought devised these illegal holds on funding for disaster relief, medical research, student aid, child care, nutrition, and foreign assistance, as well as purges of the federal workforce. If confirmed as OMB Director he’ll keep this up for four years. The Senate should reject his nomination.

One group of people INSIST that we have to live their way. While the other side says we accept how everyone wants to live. Both sides are clearly not the same

“My only regret is they should have brought rifles,” Stewart Rhodes said four days after Jan. 6. “We could have fixed it right then and there,” he said. “I'd hang fucking Pelosi from the lamppost.”

The most common question I receive is how everyday citizens can help in the fight for democracy. My advice, take the first step, start with something small and see what works for you. Here are ten things all of us can do. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/10-t...

Don't forget and bring it up often: Trump did release 1500 domestic terrorist, that he sent to the Capitol at Jan. 6th in 2021. There is nothing to justify this. They were trialed by American law and put away in accordance to the danger they posed to the public. And Trump set them free.

NEW: In these unprecedented times, it's easy to feel defeated and powerless. But there are many ways everyday citizens can help in the fight for democracy. @marcelias.bsky.social shares ten things all of us can do.

I’ll never get over that all of this was avoidable and our kids could’ve had a better future had voters just made the obviously rational choice in November. It’s water under the bridge now. But what the fuck, people.

Gaslighting is the entire GOP playbook. From ‘biggest crowd ever’ to ‘normal tourist visit,’ they’re betting you’ll ignore reality. If we allow them to keep rewriting history, they’ll keep burning the truth to the ground.

I've seen some wondering why a person married to a US citizen might not be documented. It took me 4 years & over $1500 to get residency-and I'm a 🇨🇦 married to a 🇺🇸. In my experience, it's incredibly hard for someone whose first language isn't English and can't spare the $$ to navigate this process.
