People over hear listened to the wireless in 1935 but they found out what was on it by reading the Radio Times. BTW I still listen to the wireless.

Absolutely! It’s a disgrace. Fenella Fielding should have been nominated at the very least!

Good luck. I’m still unsure about how to use Substack. But I’ll get there.

I’ve never heard of Clairefontaine notebooks, never seen them in the UK. I’m fond of Moleskine notebooks, but the ink soaks through. £3.50 notebooks from Tiger Tiger, by contrast, are impervious.

I love to use my Lamy fountain pen (black ink of course). I’m sure it makes my writing more exciting, vibrant and wonderful. Really. It does. But sometimes the ink soaks through to the other side of the paper. Swings and roundabouts I suppose.

It’s my favourite one of the series. I love a good wipe-clean Tudor story.

I’m sure Father Ted and his chums would still enjoy a visit.

I’m glad you added the last sentence-I thought you had spotted one of mine (they’re always deliberate, BTW).

A fun-packed album. ‘My Head is My Only House Unless it Rains’ is quite possibly the finest love song ever written.

It’s not a joke. It’s a morality tale of how one member of a community can sacrifice themselves for the good of everyone else. The chicken knows that death awaits but still crosses the road. A hero. Or maybe it’s just a joke.

Once in a Blue Moon is the classic.
