I think they were protesting Tesla? I remember seeing something about this.

Dems are bad at messaging. And even if they weren’t, that message wouldn’t make it to Fox.

I had to cave and get one tiny thing there this weekend while out of town—but otherwise, I’ve stopped my weekly trips for groceries and the like. Definitely getting *much* less money from me.

Def not possible for everyone. I keep my Apple Watch on my bedside table as an alarm clock and to alert me if I get a phone call (family emergencies, and I’m sometimes on-call for work). I can totally understand resistance to being completely unreachable all night.

I banned my phone from my bedroom. Most effective single action I’ve taken for my health tbh.

I kind of lump Roswell and UB together from a research standpoint these days, probably incorrectly. It would be a huge blow for sure.

When are you flyering? Would like to try and help.
comment in response to

I was just thinking about this. We’re losing small colleges, Buff State is struggling year after year, shooting down UB would be a huge blow for this region and for the state.

Highlight how research will cease on common diseases from which we all have lost someone—Alzheimer’s, cancer.

Even living with anxiety my whole life, there’s often a tiny little evidence-based light that whispers “it probably won’t be as bad as the horrors your mind has put before you,” and is usually correct. It’s an anchor. When that light is proven wrong, it feels like nothing can be ok again.

And Buffalo. Not excited.

I disavow this as a Buffalonian, it *is* disgusting. Mrs. Mahomes and the Chiefs don’t have a lot of moral high ground, though.

I honestly don’t want to hear another senator complain about what Trump’s doing without “…and this is what I’m doing about it.”

Ok I might need to hear more about these sword workouts.

Exactly this. In fact, they were *supposed* to go into effect on Inauguration Day. This 95% bluster and classic Trump “negotiating”. Heavier quotes needed.

Buffalo is blue and the rural areas are red. Just like literally everywhere else in the country.

Lot wut. Keep reaching for that false equivalence here.
But I agree. The Chiefs are legit a good team and would be that much easier to cheer for if they got rid of the minstrel show elements. And their kicker.
comment in response to
post
Literally hadn’t heard of that before this moment, and I live in Buffalo. Every fan base has its negative elements, but only some pantomime minorities loudly and en masse at every game.

Not ideal, true. He did also come from an abolitionist family and fight for the Union, so you win some and you lose some I guess. At least we don’t lean into that element, and don’t pantomime any minorities when we’re cheering for our team.

Yeah well, at least we don’t do tomahawk chops and our kicker isn’t straight from the Handmaid’s Tale. Sorry/not sorry bout that perfect season ;) #GoBills

If y’all could go ahead and break Butker’s legs, that would be gravy. I haven’t forgotten that commencement speech.

I live in the city and there was a kid outside just sobbing inconsolably after the game. 💔 This one hurts.

Also the “tomahawk chop” is racist, yes, but also dumb as hell. And your kicker is sexist. So there.

DEI policies are honestly fig leaves, anyway, in my little world of experience. Executives love to point to them but rarely actually act.
