I chose Libro.fm because it's DRM free. Bookshop.org recently announced they will start selling ebooks too so there is a good variety. I started this switch simply because I wanted to give my daughter an old ereader with only certain content but amazon made it impossible.

Every little bit helps! I switched from kindle to kobo & from audible to libro.fm. Now they are preventing users from downloading purchased content. It feels like they are trying to trap customers which is really strange behavior for a company that is already on top.

The Onyx Boox brand is android so you could read it from the app on an eink device. I'm not sure how they are with Android updates though so it may not have the longevity of a more traditional e-reader. Bookshop.org said they are working on kobo integration next though.

I always wondered how this worked! I'm so greatful to have Libby because I prefer reading digitally. I actually have memberships and different libraries because my local one doesn't have a very good selection.
