3 weeks of visiting family. 3 weeks of not getting any proper sleep because my mum has dementia, wanders around no matter what time of day or night. 3 weeks of having to deal with my half deaf stepfather turning the volume to 80! at 3am. That I regret having been there is an understatement.

I’ve applied for a discretionary grant to buy heating oil and electricity. £400. Guess what? I can only get a loan, no grant. As if I’m not indebted enough by now.
