Anyway I'm in the hobby, clearly, but it took 4 ot 5 tries before it actually stuck, because the first few times I started to get into it, I ran into the bad parts of the fandom before the good.
Where GW is negligent, like all capitalists, the rest of us need to be clear-eyed.

"It would suck to live there" isn't satire of fascism, because the 40k universe *does not suck because of fascism".
Other modes of existence are rendered impossible for humanity by the magical rules of the setting.
It's "giving fascists better arguments". Fash are real, tyranids aren't.

What's even the professed satire these days? "The Imperium is corrupted by bureaucrats"?
The idea of a stifling bureaucracy which cried out for "men of action" to restore a society's vigor is, once again, just fash wankery.

And even setting Chaos aside, humanity is up against threats that are often not dissimilar from how fascists imagine their victims. Swarms of devouring/unfeeling "others", against the stoic fascists.
And then GW acts all confused when fascists resonate with it. Why wouldn't they?

Like what other forms of existence are viable for humanity? Anything you do except "be a fascist" is against the secret magical rules of the universe. Even though by the lore of those rules, it makes no sense that the bloodthirst of the Space Wolves/BA isn't Khorne-empowring.

Bad take, GW absolutely tries to have it both ways and does deserve criticism.
They're only interested in "satire" insofar as it's the magic word that makes you not accountable for glamorizing the fash.
The rules of the universe are designed specifically to make fascism necessary in 40k.

IMO every American who is tired of trying to save republican voters from themselves is fully justified in just saying "nah have fun with that though" and going to a country with a future.
The USA's loss is our gain, in this regard. If you stay, then you'll keep the company you chose, I suppose.

Yup, while hucksters try to promote their chatbots by shedding crocodile tears about how, incapable of thought, it might become godlike, this was always the real danger of the "AI" mirage.
Capitalism is just "innovating" new ways for its enablers to absolve their own negligence now. Cope machine.

Well, I said don't shade, then I realized I clearly hit this guy with some thinned down contrast paint. Actually I think it was Carroburg Crimson shade paint. Been a while!

Method: Base Coat, do not highlight or shade. Then dip it in this, shake off the excess, and let it dry for a day. Apply Matte varnish as desired as it will be SUPER glossy at first.
That being said, I feel like if you aren't keeping it fairly glossy, you're losing the best part of the product.

They give you a lot of leeway on the posing in this kit, and you can be even more creative if you want to get into some minor editing. I chopped a few connection points for sure to get new limb angles. This is the second set I've built, although first I've primed. Did way better posing these.
