Lowe and Prendergast are appalling. Prendergast will get MOM from Dublin media

Both made it clear that they wouldn't form a coalition. The only way to affect change is from within.

If SDs and Labour were serious about government they would have entered a coalition with FF / FG. Their leadership have nothing in common with the traditional left wing demographic and their supporters are probably too comfortable to embrace actual change.

Or national odd ball day.

I lived in the UK for 10 years when Labour were headed by Kinnock. They always got my vote. Nothing similar here. Irish Labour are a joke, SDs lack leadership, the so called left come across as cranks. SF are a chameleon.

It's only the odd balls, and even then it's only in the summer.

I like art from a layman's perspective, I find myself drawn to this for reasons I don't know, but I do like your description of nostalgic melancholy

The lyrics refer to a bunch of wealthy, entitled young men, chief among whom was John O'Connell of O'Connells's / Garryowen Brewery.

Mainly because of Internet and mobile phones, people have become accustomed to instant gratification. Reading beyond a headline is hard and time consuming. What does Fox "news" say?
comment in response to post
I'd agree, if people read beyond headlines we may not have had Trump or Brexit.

That's true of any narcissistic / imperial society. History is written by the victor.

Nice shot. I passed this recently on my way down from the Edinboro Castle.

I may regret this, why?

It depends on the day of the week.

When was the British anthem last played for an Irish international game?

Sounds very familiar. Will Wales seek an independence referendum?
comment in response to post
So Wales can pay it's own way? Does Wales generate enough taxes to be an independent country, or is it reliant on Westminster?
comment in response to post
Britain pays for the NHS, not Wales.

I'm sure ole H had the best of available healthcare at the time, controlling his libido and ego were personal choices.

If Henry VIII had kept his trousers on, there would have been no sectarianism and no war in Ireland.

Has played well over all, few poor passes. Listening to the commentary and the media one would think he walks on water.
