No one cares if federal employees were asked to submit what they did last week. As a teacher, this is how I lived my life. Submit weekly lesson plans. The problem is, Elon wasn’t elected by anyone and has no business asking shit of federal employees.

Hundreds of workers at the CDC. More than 1,000 at the NIH. Scores of staffers at the FDA. Trump’s purge of federal employees includes those doing lifesaving work. Many of them expressed fear at what would happen to the projects they left behind. By @anniewaldman.bsky.social & @deldeib.bsky.social

The federal civilian worker payroll totaled $271 billion in 2022.  The annual cost of permanently extending Trump's tax cuts that primarily benefited rich individuals? $400 billion.  Keep this in mind as Trump and DOGE lay off thousands of federal workers.

Trump's CFPB just dropped its lawsuits against: -Capital One, for cheating depositors out of $2B+ in interest -Rocket Homes, for providing kickbacks to agents and brokers -Vanderbilt Mortgage, for trapping customers in risky loans  It's open season for corporate crooks.
