Ngl I’m really enjoying the traditional Chinese medicine content on RedNote. Lol call me a sheep, call me brainwashed, I don’t care. Western medicine has failed me/us too many times.

Would attend.

Wow!! Can’t believe it’s snowing! Is this 1,000 year snow? So pretty.

Yep. 100%. I personally would love to give all Canadians the option to get easy US Green cards. Love me some Canadians.

Not talking about merger.

Maybe for Canadians born in Canada to Canadian parents, but I get the sense that for a lot of Canadians who initially came as immigrants, which is many, Canada was their second choice, and they’d jump at the chance to move to the US. And with a Greencard, they could move anywhere in the US.
comment in response to post
A lot would want that greencard. I hear Canadians talking about wanting to move to the US all the time.

Additional hot take: being American but having lived in Toronto for seven years, I feel confident in saying that if we offered every Canadian a free and easy US green card, 60% would take it. Why? 1. The weather 2. High cost of housing in CA 3. High taxes 4. Low dollar 5. Frustrating healthcare

Like that one old friend we all have, they lost their job and need help.

When what we wanted was the Holigarchy… but they’ve taken that away from us. Cause America’s other favorite archy: The Patriarchy.

Also the ground sinking.

Now the Broligharchy has begun.

In my humble cinephile opinion, “The Outrun” was the best film of 2024. (I went back and saw it a second time in the theater — and cried both times)

Interesting! I haven’t even heard of this one. I’ll check it out. Thank you!
comment in response to post
Oh no. I’d heard from others that it was the best film of the year. 🤦‍♀️ Do you think only cinema nerds and cinematographers like it?

People are still using Tumblr?? I did not know. Thank you.

They want us scattered so we can’t collectively act. Ugh. I blame all of us for not digging in our heels at Twitter/X, staying put, and forcing the algorithm towards good. Looking back, I believe this would have been better than running rats.

I’m in love with Lauren Groff for just opening one herself.

Sadly so many people in America don’t even have a bookstore near them.

Yep. And even in less orthodox families, the underlying discrimination persists.

The misogyny and covert sexism in Jewish families is an under discussed topic that I too have experienced. Thanks for mentioning this.

The greatest.

About to watch Eraserhead. Might do the whole canon in order. At least he will live on our silver screens forever.

I listened to the Twin Peaks The Return soundtrack all evening. “Shadow” brought me to tears. The lyrics felt so appropriate for David Lynch’s passing. So many great films. So much great music. So many memories from a man I never even met.

I guess I’m actually just really sad that David Lynch is dead.
