Hey a periodic reminder that the police are allowed to lie to you. They can lie, say they have evidence and witnesses they don't, use techniques that provably do not do anything but make you stressed, and all of that is above board. Remember that when there are claims of confessions in arrests.

This is why physical media is only part of preservation: Make backups and rips, and do so semi-regularly. While it massively sucks, having rips of your collections means you can always burn it to a new copy later on.
