A free country cannot tolerate people saying... THINGS and waving... THINGS unless those THINGS are "F*ck the Democratic President" and "AR-15s," respectively.

To watch a tyrant & his minions stab America in the back over & again is painful. To watch American after American look directly at the country they claim to love, see it bleeding in the gutter and blithely walk on, as if nothing they saw was worth speaking up about, is torture.

BTW: Capitalized words, in online English-language conversations between humans, are generally understood to receive emphasis.
Example: Emphasizing "English," "human," or "generally" above alters the implied meaning.
If I used capital letters to indicate I was correct, you'd accuse me of shouting.

You're arguing that we need a wholesale paradigm shift AND that the current system won't permit incremental improvement TOWARD that paradigm.
So is your plan to: (a) topple & replace it with military might or (b) found a post-collapse socialist utopia by besting regional warlords w/logic & reason?

All I'm saying is a REALISTIC solution to the Right's demand for work to receive benefits AND of unemployment in general would be to adopt tenets of "planned economies" for THAT purpose IN OUR CURRENT SYSTEM. It's doable, unlike 100% socialism, which ends in similar ways to 100% capitalism, anyway.

Abolishing capitalism & guaranteeing employment.
The government should assign people who aren't otherwise employed some type of part-time community service suited to their their abilities. Not only is that compatible with capitalism, but it almost becomes necessary without it.

The difference between those lies more in terminology than substance

So then guarantee employment.

I think it's become self-evident that, under our current system, ๐ฉ๐ช๐ซ๐ข๐ค๐ฌ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ a political party is a faster & easier alternative to ๐ด๐ต๐ข๐ณ๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐จ one.

Reagan also colluded with a foreign country (Iran) behind the back of the US State Department to delay the release of American hostages in order to ratf*ck Carter's 1980 re-election. ๐ช๐ต๐ถ๐ฐ๐ต ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐บ๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ก๐๐๐ง, ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐ต๐ผ๐...
