People complaining about the new visual of Xenoblade characters don't understand that they add new characters and everything else, so it would be weird to keep the old characters as is without upgrade?? Just the new characters with different style would be more jarring.

I absolutely think it's important to cherish older games, revisit, and experience ones you missed. But.. I also think you can do all these things without the constant "gaming isn't what it used to be" type behavior, constantly looking down your nose at modern gaming.

I think Nintendo has a marketing plan made and refuses to let anything disrupt it. They almost certainly know (correctly) that it doesn't really matter what leaks/what people think is true. When the reveal happens, on their own terms, none of the rumors will matter anymore.
