It would be a shame to encourage folks to use banned book lists to do strange things like -check them out regularly at the library -request the library order them if they don’t have them -buy them -start or support banned book clubs -organize a banned book kids story time A real shame

To complete my old lady journey for the week, I have stress fractures in my knee and am now using a walker at school. 😂😂😂 It’s kind of hilarious really, and I’m very happy to know what’s wrong.

Read. Read books. Reading books is resistance. Buy. Buy books. Buying books is resistance. Share. Share books. Sharing books is resistance. Celebrate Celebrate books. Celebrating books is resistance.

Hopefully this judgement will be honored by the Trump administration and aid will begin to flow again. It's worth repeating: The President of the U.S. does not decide where or how our tax money is spent. That is Congress's job. That's why Trump keeps losing in court. apnews.com/article/usai...

Well, just got my shingles shot. I’ve officially embraced middle age.

Go read a book.

Book #13 in 2025… Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan. 5 stars. Amazing. Everyone should read this book. It’s such a powerful read. #booksky

I hope someone makes a YouTube video analyzing that halftime show, because there was a lot going on there and almost all of it went over my head.

Book #12 of 2025… I didn’t know I was loving this book until I came to the end. 4.5 stars. Beautiful descriptions of the Western Slope of Colorado, beautiful story, and a piece of history. Wonderful book.

We appear to have gained 500 followers in the past couple of hours, so here’s a picture of our store, the oldest mystery fiction bookstore in the world. We ship — mysteriousbookshop.com

Book 11 in 2025… The House of my Mother (A daughter’s quest for freedom) by Shari Franke. 5 stars. Couldn’t put it down and read it in one day. Family vlogging should be outlawed.

I just read a post that says that we are all being traumatized on a daily basis, and I have never felt anything resonate more.

Book 10 in 2025…. Onyx Storm!!! Love my dragons. I suggest doing a quick reread or at least summary read of Iron Flame if it’s been awhile. 4.5 stars.

A book a day keeps the social life away

Meanwhile.. in #Berlin 👇

I work in public education and have for the past 25 years. Today I got 2 emails talking about what to do if ICE shows up at the school and making sure we are taking care of kids’ needs. What is happening?

Hey. My knee hurts. Just saying.

TikTok took it down, so let’s share the shit out of this reading list. #HolocaustRemembranceDay #NeverAgainIsNow #BookSky #StateMediaCensorship

Daughter: “why do some Chiefs fans still do the tomahawk chant?” Me: “because they’re idiots, honey”

Sorry I’m still thinking about this

I'm not sure if @bsky.app is the answer, but I will be deleting or checking my Facebook account much less frequently for the next 4 years. I hope I can connect with my family here. It's not as user friendly as I would like.
