"Instructions for Having a Soul"

Here's Part 2 of 3 from me, @adambonica.bsky.social, @rfunkfordham.bsky.social, & @ernestotiburcio.bsky.social. All the publicly available data suggests 2024 non-voters leaned Democratic and pro-Harris. data4democracy.substack.com/p/did-non-vo... 1/n

It’s a scary time. So feel the fear, metabolize the fear and transcend the fear by working with other people to act with courage and stand tall for democracy and freedom.

Trump: When you ran out the healthy arms, you ran out of really healthy— they had great arms but they ran out. It’s called sports. It’s called baseball in particular and pitchers I guess you could say, really particular

How many sharks have the scriptwriters made Fonzie jump now? I’ve lost count.

I don’t do this often and promise not to make a habit of it, but just this once: WE TRIED TO WARN YOU!!!!!

If you like what you've seen from Sen. Cory Booker and other Democratic lawmakers this week, call and email their offices and let them know that. Evidence of public support gives lawmakers more clout with their colleagues to keep doing what they're doing. Constituent encouragement becomes influence.

The most important part about calling your electeds is that they tally calls/emails by category and make decisions based on that data. If they get a fuckton of "we loved what Booker did and want more disruptive oppositional thinking" (and "fire Schumer") then that will steer future strategies.

I called my senators today and told them I want Cory Booker to be the senate minority leader. We can’t hold hearings. We don’t have subpoena power. We can’t pass budgets. But we CAN filibuster, and we CAN change party leadership.

A picture paints a 1000 words! Our heroes of pro-democracy! #MomSky

To me, if you're writing a big picture look at gaps between the parties and where the electorate stands, the main takeaway would be "I don't think most of the electorate voted for a dictatorship, no public services, and a return to Jim Crow." Opinions differ though. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/29/o...

If you're scooping up students off the street for writing op-eds, you're secret police, and should be treated accordingly.

🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave. Tell them: 1. Vote NO on Cloture AND 2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill. Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it. TODAY is the showdown. 🤳🏽: (202) 224-3121

More of this, please – 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 ICYMI-this is a must see: Representative John Larson (D) calling out Elon Musk and not holding back… Well done! THANK YOU.

Today I confronted “border czar” Tom Homan who came to Albany to do Trump’s bidding — push for mass deportations, carry out the assault on working class New Yorkers, and justify the unjustifiable detention of legal permanent resident and father-to-be, Mahmoud Khalil.

Please call your senators and urge them to vote no on the cloture motion and then to vote no on the Continuing Resolution. The US Capitol switchboard is (202) 224-3121. They will connect you. Also, the in-state numbers are listed at your senator's website. I called mine. Please call yours now!

This extreme escalation is an egregious violation of first amendment rights. Now is the moment to speak out and oppose this as fiercely and loudly as possible.

I’m not going to the Joint Address. I will be live posting and chatting with you all here instead. Then going on IG Live after.

Kernen to Lutnick: When you talk about fentanyl and Canada, it sounds like an excuse. 43 pounds came across the Canadian border last year versus 21,148 pounds from Mexico. So it is really fentanyl?
