New Yorkers, vote for Zohran. He's the future. Real change. Great ideas. Real solutions for New York's problems. Creative. Compassionate. Rank Zohran first. Lander second. DO NOT RANK CUOMO.

In additional to being strategically smart, this is just another incredibly well done video. They make you want to believe in politics.

“Elmo is open to full-time or freelance roles.”

I really encourage you to listen to this. This entire incident is chilling and crosses yet another line.

To every elected leader in this country: be more like @govpritzker.illinois.gov.

Massive crowds NYC. No Kings.

Huge congratulations to Susan Crawford on a resounding, well-earned victory tonight. Wisconsin’s Supreme Court election demonstrates Musk and Trump have gone too far, and any politician allied with them could swiftly face the end of their political career. My statement:

No kings.

We need more Jon Ossoffs in the Democratic Party. This is just fantastic.

Warnock: They are busy attacking ordinary people. They don’t understand what it’s like to ration your prescription drugs or what it’s like to try to figure out how to afford groceries. In the words of that prophet who just spoke at The Super Bowl: They not like us

My latest essay is up. “Selma is Stronger than MAGA: On Loving Your Country.” Inspired by the 60th anniversary of Bloody Sunday…and, ironically Justice Kennedy. READ AND SHARE. open.substack.com/pub/sherrily...

Worth a read…

Some of his readers have asked Mike Masnick @mmasnick.bsky.social why his technology news site, Tech Dirt, has been covering politics so intensely lately. www.techdirt.com/2025/03/04/w... I cannot recommend Mike's reply enough. It's exactly what readers need to hear, what journalists need to do.

I rarely reread what I've written because then I just think of all the ways I could have rewritten it, but I still very much appreciate @maddow.msnbc.com sharing @leahgreenberg.bsky.social's and my op-ed on air tonight! You can find the whole thing here: www.thenation.com/article/poli...

Mel Bochner, a grad school mentor, exposed the cracks between words and reality in ways that offer a lesson for AI. His 1970 dictum "Language Is Not Transparent" feels prophetic now that we use black boxes to churn out news, legal documents, and medical advice blog.still-water.net/mel-bochner-...

Elon is using his billions to smear USAID and its life-saving work. We need to use our networks to get the truth out. Please share: youtu.be/PqUESHfuO_8?...

friendly reminder that the best case scenario over the coming years is that a lot of people say "I supported Trump but this isn't what I wanted at all" and when they do that it's gonna be really, really important that we say "welcome in," not "fuck you, we told you so"

Indivisible is urging people to visit their senators' local offices between now and Thursday to demand that they use every tool—including denying a quorum and blocking unanimous consent—to fight the confirmation of Project 2025 architect Russell Vought for head of OMB docs.google.com/document/d/1...

This @ezrakleinbot.bsky.social piece is exactly right and every single person should read it. Trump has a glass jaw. Let's smash it.

Just gonna keep quoting this over and over again from @joshtpm.bsky.social: "the job of an opposition party is to oppose." This doesn't have to be complicated!

The Democratic Party needs to get out of this woman's way.

Historian of fascism here. It was a Nazi salute and a very belligerent one too.

For all Trump's talk of manufacturing jobs, you didn't see the CEOs of GE and Caterpillar sitting in the prime seats today. You saw the CEOs of Amazon and X and Meta and Google and TikTok. It's the attentional oligarchs whose power he cares about.

None of this reduces the price of anything.

Every Democrat, every day. This is what needs to be said. Trump succeeds because he relentlessly repeats himself over and over. It’s not easy to do—it’s natural to want to move on—but it’s effective for driving a message. Dems likewise need to put what Schatz says here on permanent repeat.

Trump closes, saying we will be a “free and sovereign nation,” which, I’m pretty sure, is what we have been since the beginning.

Poetry Foundation not fucking around with today's poem of the day www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/89897/...

Wait, is having your starship blow up a mark of efficiency? Just checking in on the government efficiency experts.

During the Revolutionary War, Thomas Paine donated the royalties from his call-to-action, Common Sense, to purchase mittens for George Washington’s army. Wear the mittens!

WATCH: Sherrilyn Ifill calls on leaders in the Democratic Party “to array themselves as the protectors of the American people” in the face of Trump’s threats.

this is the guy

Keep this in mind for the road ahead:
