If you need standard layer controls, Affinity does that great! It also feels snappier than Photoshop. They have a full featured demo that is worth checking out. I tried it and liked it enough to buy it.

Affinity Photo is a nice alternative that can use PSD. It feels similar but just different enough to be a little frustrating at times coming from Photoshop, but lifetime license for $50 or something is nice. You can also use it on iPad.

Nuverse, the publisher is owned by Bytedance. So likely a powerplay taking all of their direct or subsidiary apps offline.

The real play here is to profit individually from tariffs and have wide open crony capitalism and mob type payoffs. Need something that can't be produced in the US? A concession can be made for a price. Add loyalty pledge. Imagine if the Pillow guy got exclusive deal on cotton with no tariffs?

This sounds like...socialism... We are going to force you to spend money on the platforms we tell you to spend money on! What happened to free market? I guess I should stop writing this report on diminishing returns or I might get a subpoena for collusion...
