If you want to read a new book coming out but don't want to buy it, a great thing you can do is ask your local library to order it. The more requests they get, the more likely they are to acquire it and then lots of people will get to read it who othewise wouldn't.

This has gone completely under the radar. But it’s important. A Trump-appointed judge just overturned Biden’s overtime rule that would have helped 4 million salaried workers with lower incomes ($35K to $58k). Employers “promote” these workers to “manager” roles so they don’t have to pay overtime.

As a trans lady legislator who defeated Virginia's bathroom bill author in 2017, I can say with certainty that the authors of these bills never spare a thought about the fact that it means they'll be requiring men -- specifically, trans men -- to use the women's room.

I’m not trans so maybe it’s not my place to say but: If I was the only Black woman surrounded by dozens of people targeting me for harassment/segregation, I’m pretty sure I would say what Sarah McBride did and then I would hope dozens of my colleagues would stand up for me anyway.
