IT IS WEIRD TO ME THAT AMERICANS ARE SO UNABLE TO ADAPT AND GO WITHOUT ONE PRODUCT FOR ANY PERIOD OF TIME. Do you have issues with reading comprehension? You’re fucking insufferable.

Tofu is more affordable than eggs, even when eggs aren’t at the current price. And readily available. There’s so many affordable protein options outside of the norm too (I only know because my child is vegetarian + we exist on a 53k/yr as a family)

Yes but they are no longer affordable so the fact people are smuggling them out of desperation to consume them is weird. To me at least. It is my opinion that it’s weird :)

So embarrassed by our team (and our president). The rest of us love and respect our Canadian neighbors. Glad y’all won the game!

Not true. Family of 3 over here with a vegetarian kiddo and Costco is great. Although I have to admit, the $150 chest freezer was a necessary purchase to make Costco work for us 😂

@hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social cannot and will not meet the moment. Sorry. Most of our elected dems are useless. We need an overhaul

Plenty of stories about him being shitty when he was a mayor long before all of this. People didn’t want to listen because they always think some white guy is gonna solve everything. His shtick with the carhartt gear etc is exactly that… he’s a blowhard self serving motherfucker

No strike is going to remove the terrorists that are the GOP. They’ll destroy the workers, privatize the service, destroy their pensions, up prices and destroy small businesses then buy them up or monopolize the markets etc etc etc.
We’re in a coup. We can’t strike our way out of it

I’m not sure if you’ve ever read any books, but we have almost always been the bad guys.

Precisely why we never bought here. Renting means we can cut and run whenever we want. With climate extremes, that’s probably a strategy we will stick with permanently now. No point in owning something that can be washed away or burned down.

Same. For me, it was a news of the 11 year old child that took her own life after being bullied for her ethnicity this week. My rage won’t be getting bottled back up now. It’s time for all of us to use our rage and fucking fix this

As someone with deep ties to Kentucky, I concur. Lucky for them, progressive orgs and democratic governors from other states are pitching in to pick up the federal slack. Hopefully the 70+% of them that voted for this notice who’s helping them and who isn’t. I’m not optimistic

Don’t have to imagine it, was our reality in 2020 when us and every single other family on our block got laid off and lost everything. My heart hurts for everyone experiencing this now. It took us 4 years to recover. I fear we may have recovered just to have it happen again though..

Terrifying. Avoiding flying isn’t even a solution because wherever we go it’s likely we’re under a flight path from which planes could fall at any given moment lol. Fuck

Odd... as a database programmer w/30 yrs of experience, my advice to kids (and their parents) is put all the screens away. Read books, spend tons and tons of time people you love. Go outside as much as possible. Teach your kids to stay in touch with their own humanity and the humanity of others...🤷

No. I’d rather our kids fight against AI - their lives sort of depend on the planet surviving. All this bullshit means nothing if we can’t have a livable planet and a functioning society. AI is a culmination of every human fealty and no I’m not going to argue w anyone about this. It’s my opinion
