I seem to recall that these astronauts were scheduled to return much earlier
but, meanwhile, SpaceX rockets were experiencing 'unscheduled' disassembly and a colorful & dramatic fall back to Earth
so, we moved on to Plan B - so as not to incinerate some of America's finest
& Elon blames Biden?!?

I would assume that, aside from his ability to pardon, Trump's immunity doesn't flow down to his appointees

no idea.
he's a conservative, so initially he voted and supported the GOP.
until he realized what Trump was capable of
the actual enablers are the ones who took a knee
when they saw Trump's true colors
most recently SCOTUS who gifted Trump w/ immunity that his lawyers hadn't even requested

um - George jumped ship & spoke out once he realized that Trump's a narcissistic psychopath
IMO you should aim your blame at the GOP Congress who supported Trump to help themselves, while abdicating responsibility to keep him in check
like McConnell who impeded impeachment & stacked Supreme Court

Marc and George - you are my heroes.
I help in small ways; during Trump's 1st presidency I spent the $1,200 he sent US citizens (not wed to a non-citizen) on $25 Aldi gift cards
& donated them to an ESL org to help their clients
last week I sent ACLU link to my student & she's sharing w/ friends

I had doubts
that a very wealthy man w/out political experience would be anything but a hack
during the pandemic you recognized inequality & threats facing essential workers & POC
& you've never forgotten them
I am so freakin' grateful
those of us who have more need to help & serve those in need

as VP he was a complete toady
he wasn't irrelevant when confirming the 2020 election
he looked for a way to give the election to Trump
but he sought advice from trustworthy legal icons
then he found his spine
semi-heroic
tho you're right - can't think of anyone on either side who'd be swayed by him

I revile Pence for his toadying to Trump while VP
& his creepy, Biblical fear & disdain of women
but there are 2 things I respect him for -
much as he may have wanted to:
- he couldn't bring himself to overstep his Constitutional role
- he refused to leave the Capitol
so, he has a spine.

Russia's plan was to 'blitzkrieg' Kyiv . . .
but Ukraine tore up the airport so they couldn't land & storm their country's capitol
he humiliated 'strongman' Putin
& then there's dementia-addled 'bonespurs' Donnie, who still fantasizes about being as powerful as Putin and Xi
a deluded cats paw

yeah - but just you wait until Musk/Trump 'fire' Powell, put in their lackey and then THEY set inflation rates
to gaslight us into thinking the economy is doing just fine!
Biden's Fed toed a very fine line to simultaneously cut inflation & prevent a recession
but now we're heading for a shitshow

I'm pretty sure that a $4.5 trillion tax break for your broligarchs counts as 'spending money'
that will balloon the deficit
help the filthy rich
& will never 'filter down'
vs building economy from the middle out & bottom up
where spending happens by folks who need it most

I guess that in some countries duty overrides 'politeness'
when dealing with a dictator wanna-be who infects the halls of power

and the idiot GOP appointee who though Biden was too stupid to set up 'perimeters' - because chickens don't fly (and can't spread bird flu)
forgot that wild birds w/ the flu can land in bird yards, looking for food
& infect a flock
then other wild birds may drop in & get infected
asshats in charge

Sean has never been in a situation such as this . . .
coming in on the heels of a competent predecessor
and now - OMG - for the first time he's being asked to pull up his big boy underpants
and somehow manage to do the job that his 'Deep State' predecessor did successfully, and w/ zero fanfare
Yay

too 'entitled' to carry a snow shovel . . . much less actually use one
so . . .
wait for some 'lesser person' to come along & extricate your ass
and give 'em a nice tip unless you're a complete asshole
and, just to be fair, I ain't placing bets either way

Target shareholders: Womp Womp!
get over yourselves
and give a moment's thought to your customers
some are MAGA
many others also rely on you
ALL of them want great products at reasonable prices
tariffs, inflation & looming unemployment will hurt us & trash your stock prices
and you support him?
