It's lovely to see Miss Tulip & Miss Primrose again. And the kittens just wanted to meet them; no harm done. Where was Baby Dog? He would have been quite agitated and a tad jealous, too. Have fun getting ready for Easter. We can't wait to see what Mum will do this year. 🐾🐰🐣🐑🪺🌸🌞💜

Thanks for replying! This month's SS came; not a check; benefit $ is auto deposited after SS deducts/pays monthly Medicare. But if SS $ doesn't get auto deposited (seems likely soon), seems Medicare won't be paid; coverage may be denied? And who knows how long benefits may be delayed in future. 🤬

SO sorry; didn't explain correctly. This month's SS was deposited. I've just been doing too much doomscrolling & am trying to anticipate what to do if a deposit doesn't get made. I've downloaded all the SS records. Just worried about Medicare auto payments; don't want to lose health coverage. 🤷🏻♀️

Sorry, I just have NO idea how SS/Medicare auto payments system is set up--but no doubt it will all change (& not for the better) in the coming months as it all comes crashing down. (Just gonna crawl under the covers and hide now till it's all over.)

Thank you, but what I'm trying to figure out is if Medicare would still get paid even if NO money is sent to SS recipient's bank acc't. Guess it's going take 2 sets of inquiries: one to SS (why no auto deposit $ this month?) & one to Medicare (did SS pay monthly auto bill?). Sigh. So f'cked up.

Question: SS deducts/pays monthly Medicare fee before paying benefits. If SS benefit check isn't deposited, is Medicare fee also not paid? How do you know if Medicare was paid or not & ensure addt'l Advantage plans (Kaiser etc) aren't affected? Seniors are terrified of losing SS AND health benefits.

I recall when money from SS was "borrowed" for other governmental purposes (discussed a lot when Al Gore wanted to create a "lockbox"). Was money moved out of SS and, if so, how much was removed, and is it still "owed" back to the SS account?
