The level of pain experienced does scale up exponentially when the rejection comes from people I do, or at least believe I could, relate to. It's hard to describe; it's a mix of "I don't even fit in HERE" and "I'm just being annoying" and "I'm a burden to them". Fun times. Don't recommend. Aaaaaaaa

If you're feeling bad that your GoFundMe was successful where others often aren't, just find ways to pay some of that kindness you've received forward, when you're able. It'll be more helpful to you and others than holding onto this guilt people are trying to give you, that you don't even deserve.

You asked for help because you determined you needed it. Your assessment on that wasn't wrong just because people gave you more than you expected. Please don't feel guilty over making that decision. You have that easier time now because of it.

(Me, with my excellent reading comprehension, completely missing the part about no autobio material-)

I second this. I think slice-of-life stuff in general would be great to draw from. Not all of it lends itself to comedy, but it doesn't have to, and the comedy that does occur you don't have to stress about thinking up. It just happens. I wanna know if conure antics are anything like cat antics...

These tests only really measure how good you are at taking timed multiple-choice tests. And at making people think the problem is just you, if you're struggling despite high test scores.

You're not talking joints just popping, are you? You're talking a "weird rubbing feeling while hearing like you've just stepped on really creaky floorboards" kind of sensation?

Sounds like Maya too. Maybe it's just a 3D modeling program thing in general.

Maybe it's not so much that your productivity is low, just that the energy for it is having to go to other things than what you wanted. And that's still rough, even looking at it like that. But, you're not a machine. You don't have to be productive all the time. It's okay to not be.

That's a mood. I wish it were easier to keep those expectations of oneself in-check. It's still a lot going on and that you're dealing with, so please remember to give yourself credit for facing it all every day. It's okay to just make sure to survive.

catfooddb.com does go over a bunch of brands if that'll help you. Also, it's okay to feed Not As Good if it's safer. My beautiful stupid boy Ari (my stud male) has tested negative and has not gotten sick precisely because I was feeding him shittier food than the other cats. Lucky bastard.

I ABSOLUTELY understand that you'll need to take your time. I did end up putting in several orders over the last couple weeks and I hope you don't end up stressing out over any of them. :') I know I'm in no hurry.

It stunned me a little when, months after I lost my cat, Terra, my own partner admitted he'd had a favorite cat in our house... and it WASN'T the girl he'd picked out and named himself. It had been Terra. He went from not even liking cats when I brought her home to crying over her when she passed.

I love Blob Cat so much actually. Also the cat on the right in the second photo looks like it's dragonbreathing smoke in the shape of another cat.

To be slightly reassuring (including for @kikidoodle.bsky.social maybe?) the farmworkers who have gotten it from animals have been pretty exclusively dairy workers getting it from prolonged exposure to raw milk. Likewise for cats/dogs it seems to require ingestion of infected meat/milk.

I'm so sorry you're going through all of this right now. I really hope Bebop pulls through and you don't have any others fall sick. It tore me up trying to save my ONE sick girl; this here is too much...
