When the Phoenix Foundation goes under because of this, don't come running to me.

Is 'le Big Mac' listed under L or B?

See, I just didn't find it that much fun. Instead I was frustrated watching them wander around for an hour looking for the guy with no point to any of that.

It's not hate. Madison's performance is winning. I just think the film was waaaay too long without justification. Meanwhile you have The Brutalist, which I thought was fantastic and Conclave, which is pretty good and interesting. I just don't get what people see in Anora.

September 5 kind-of straddles that. It's one part "It's incredible that us sports broadcasters put together this amazing coverage" and another part "Uh guys... should we have been doing this... we kinda fucked up a bit here."

I haven't enjoyed a Bond movie since 2006, so I am not currently in mourning.

This gif is from the movie Scanners. Expect a musical montage about the scene in hour three.

The film itself is pretty divorced from the actual news event. It's mostly in conversation with itself about news gathering responsibility in an age where all news can be shared with immediately, consequence be damned. But, it's a tough sell in 2024/25.

It was tired back in the old Ain't It Cool News days. It's amazing that the joke is still trotted out.

I just saw you have Bigfoot vs Yeti out this week. I'll grab this one with the kid at the bookstore on the weekend. It looks fun.
(And check out Dalmartian. It pairs with Stella nicely).

Yeah, no Ms Rachel in my house. A couple of books that have proven very popular with my 3 year-old - Stellaphant by @jamesfoleybooks.bsky.social (I love this one), Life in Mars by @jonagee.bsky.social, and Dalmatian by Lucy Ruth Cummins.

TV show. There's plenty of really great kids books - I'd spend more energy there and just let the kid eventually discover the show.

I think the books are pretty terrible. What works as an episode doesn't really work as a static page. Hey Duggee translates much better to the page.

Its a metaphor. All the best story-telling uses it.

That sounds like an awesome way to alienate the half of your audience who voted for this.

I grew up down south. My heart doesn’t even recognise that a “big dog” exists. Soon you’re going to claim something called “Boris’ Breakfast Club” was a thing too.
