Tesla V4 chargers have thicker cables than V3. Water cooled V3 charging cables are impossibly slim and light but I've seen a lot of kinking on them. V4 seem likely a good balance between weight and durability

Can't confirm but was told 30 minute maximum free parking. Toilets downstairs open during dining precinct business hours.

www.ief.org/news/what-is.... I suppose "electric vehicle batteries" is fairly close to "battery electric vehicles". This site also claims neodymium is used for electric vehicle batteries.

I can't see consumers or businesses accepting the concept of reducing demand and I think it's a mistake to plan the future on it.

Politicians aren't voted in they are voted out. Does anyone believe people ever wanted Albo as PM? No. It was rejection of Scott Morrison and the Liberal party that saw Labor elected.

Yesterday I went looking to repost Barnaby Joy Christmas video rant to the sky. Bugger me I could only find search results pointing to Facebook.

It's not easy to make the break. Many links take you to Facebook and it is the sole webpage for many restaurants and small businesses.

I deactivated my account a few weeks ago. Oddly enough it was because I was tired of the misinformation. The recent announcement to reduce moderation just reinforces that it was the right thing to do.

Small battery probably a little too small for road trips. Larger 86kWh should be OK. It's a new segment for utes in Australia since the body is monocoque rather than traditional body-on-frame construction. It also has independent rear suspension rather than the live axle on most dual cab utes.

Yes at that price I can live with the Bosch UI. A friend bought the Neff with the dial I think about 8 years ago. Still going as far as I know. The dial is removable. Handy with kids around. I'm pretty sure he lost it at some stage and not cheap. Probably the kids 😁

My mistake with the link. On the iPhone lots of weird stuff happens if you try to edit the message after you've created a link.

neff.com.au makes a cool twist flex knob. Not in my price range though.

Too many beeps and not enough analogue controls these days for sure 😁

I've had a 3 burner Bosch series 4 since 2020. Love it. Timer function is very useful. It's worth wiping it clean after every use. Don't rest hot pans anywhere near the touch control area.

More than 10 million bsky users added in the last 2 months. 13 million users on 24 October now almost 24 million on 11 December.

Perhaps the Liberal Party plans to buy them from China.

Nice to see them off the floor.

Seriously. Just shut down the gas and coal plants. Oh wait they can't easily do that? That is the problem to address.

Puts a different spin compared to the latest headlines.

Maybe it is the best way. It makes sense for housing to be in places which aren't high flood risk. Councils and property developers have shown over and over to have little regard for the people buying into flood prone areas.

I suspect Bitcoin's rise is more due to uncertainty about the US dollar due to Trump's return and proposed trade tariffs.

It's something which could have been cheaper if made more widespread but there was little leadership from government. It's not like they weren't already taxing imports and subsidising Ford and GM

Most likely misinformation. www.snopes.com/fact-check/t...

Why Australia did not run the entire motor vehicle fleet on locally sourced gas fuels never made sense to me. To prop up US based Ford and GM? A reason to send our soldiers to the Middle East?

No proof but I doubt there is any truth to the claim Musk is going to embrace hydrogen for cars.

It's a National Hwy and major tourist route. That it's not already a divided Hwy is a disgrace which costs lives and productivity every single day.

I've been watching the temps in Sydney this week. Hoping they aren't working their way to SE QLD before I can replace my broken AC 🥵

I've seen the $17/kWh figure a bit recently. Not sure if or when the ADMINISTERED PRICE CAP kicks in.

Not a fan of Musk? Still seems a harsh call We wouldn't even be talking about grid batteries if not for Tesla I do think the Australian Government should review the subsidies for Tesla batteries if the product does not meet the outcome desired Especially if unlocking features is all that is required
comment in response to post
"Ultimately this means Tesla is slowing the grid transition so they can rake in bigger profits" Pretty wild claim. How so?

I think you are slightly overthinking the pros and cons of your next vehicle purchase😁
