And they don't even know how to email correctly. Sad! lol

Oh yum! One of the things I love about Japanese cuisine is that there are objects on my plate that don't code (to western eyes) as "food" - and they are almost inevitably delicious. It's fascinating and fun!

Shouldn't be necessary. Whatever you do about it is going to come out somewhere between necessary and laudatory.

It would be entertaining watching them speed run all of the rookie mail admin errors if this was some lame startup. It's horrifying to watch this but at least they aren't notably competent.

One of my grands once said "I see the problem Grandpa. It's people." Makes me laugh every time - wise beyond their years!

I recall that when that video first came out there was rather some controversy about how suggestive it was. Outstanding classic Prince! Hadn't seen that in a while - thanks for the bop!

For someone with even vaguely sensitive materials involved: "Here's what I did last week: * <redacted> * <redacted> * <redacted> * <redacted> * <redacted>" Let 'em chew on that.

Great work, and an outstanding domain name! (Uh, I assume you are not English? 😂)

It was the standard still image format before jpeg, too. Can't remember the first one, but would have been back in the late 80s sometime.

lol, yes! I, uh, might be exactly in the target demographic.

Man, who's cutting onions? Absolutely bawling.

I haven't listened to it since, uh, yesterday.

Part of what made it just an OK film - but what an outstanding soundtrack! Daft Punk did a great job as a followup to Wendy Carlos's sublime soundtrack to the first film.

Oh no.

Credit where due: that was a heck of a play and an outstanding goal!

Can't go wrong with bubbles, but yeah - something cheap and sweet to go with face, lol

Question: what's the best wine to pair with face?

Yeah.... :-/

I feel like they've semi-abandoned Stellina, which makes me a bit sad (I like the slightly larger optics), but it's very cool to see more of the 'guts' of these! I may yet pony up for a Vespera.

Gonna need a full set of those - I think that'll be standard apparel semi-indefinitely at this point.

As I noted elsewhere: the only royalty in the US I recognize is Norton I, Emperor of the United States, Protector of Mexico

Although y'all did give the crown to an Orange guy once. (Sorry, can't resist history 'humor'.)

"The grand strategy is..." <aide whispers in ear> "...banning all wind turbines." <different aide whispers in other ear> "And also demanding locks on all public restroom stalls." <etc.>

I dunno - this whole "women in lakes passing out swords" as a form of governance is looking better and better all the time.

I don't even know where to start with this. Yikes!

Pretty deep into l'etat, c'est moi territory these days. Oof.

Love a good visualization - thanks!!

Yeah - the memorials look like this. Far fewer like this for WWII.

'tech-encumbered' is such a perfect description of current reality, alas.

These days, my kids won't let my grands do pretty much anything outside (and the grands are teens!) If you let someone who's not a fully grown adult go outside, they'll almost certainly be abducted in a white panel van or the victim of an ax murderer. (In our extremely safe 'hood. Yeah, sure.) 🤷

"I'm going to <friend's> house." That meant you had to be back by dinner (promptly at 5:30 in central time, lol), and you would, indeed, go by <friend's> house at some point during the day, although that may be as far as the driveway before the whole gang heads out to...wherever. Yup!

If it was this I could get on board with it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cz8c...

Wow, for only a few known, there's sure a lot of material! This is a neat learning adventure - thanks for starting it!

Seems I need to go read up. Off to Wikipedia to start!

I was going to ask about Vesta but ran out of characters for that post. :) Given that, do we think all of the pallasites came from the same parent body? (Or from Pallas, given the name?) I know they are rare, but it seems like rocky bodies of that scale would be very rare too!

Maybe Musk's government plan is still in beta. Would explain a lot. Indeed, I think Musk's entire plan for life is in beta. Would also explain a lot!

Implying that there was once something big enough to differentiate to that degree before getting smacked hard enough to break off this chunk from deep within it. So much solar system history hinted at from just this small piece! What's the minimum size for a differentiated interior?
