Except that’s what created the sprawl problem in the first place! Everyone looking out for their own.

To be fair, the real problem is the greenbelt, and the lack of cohesive city planning over the course of about 70 years, which resulted in a massively decentralized city. Not sure how that’s the mayor’s fault, but sure.

Actually they’re our streets. You don’t own them, we all do.

Funny that the urban residents expecting suburbanites to ride the bus to work 2.5 hours a day are the same ones who won’t go to shows at the CTC once in a blue moon because it’s “too far.” Transit is not a viable option given our geography and the poor planning of the past.

Yeah well where I live, we aren’t getting the train before 2048 at the earliest, if they find the $. Meanwhile because of this idiocy, they’re already ripping out lanes on Bank, Queen, Wellington, Elgin, Laurier, etc. I’m not asking for more lanes, just stop taking away. 80 mins downtown by bus.

Yes and there’s also this monster failure that was supposed to contain urban sprawl but instead made it worse, called the greenbelt. And given the lack of practical transit options, those who live outside the core but work downtown have no options but driving on the roads you advocate against.

Different perspective: Traffic was essentially gridlocked this morning city-wide because of the narrow streets and closed roads. But sure, cars get too much space.

See we’re kinda hoping he builds a northern wall to keep more Americans out. I’m sure you’re one of the good ones, but I want nothing to do with the US or Americans right now. Keep your problems in your own country, don’t mess up ours.

Someone should maybe tell him about the flow of illegal guns into our country.

Missing my point - the fans that are salivating for the team to drop half a billion on one player are the same people who complain about affordability of a family outing. I like players like shohei just as much as the next guy, but I ain’t gonna shell out thousands to watch him *maybe* hit a dinger.

IF YOU BELIEVE THE MANY SHOULD HAVE CONTROL OVER THE FEW, this is your time.
As a decentralized platform, @bsky.app is probably the last, best chance for this to happen
This has nothing to do with me. I'm just stating the obvious.
It has everything to do with what the 1.2m @bsky.app users do.

Only if you were one of the people that overpaid for their seats to that calamity on StubHub

Not in a million years Donnie. If there's one thing that unites Canadians, it's that we're absolutely, positively, 100% NOT American. I respect and love the U.S., but we're proud of our own history and culture. Happy as neighbours (yes, with a 'U').

Yeah and that all makes sense, it would just be nice to see that expressed in more accessible language.

Between “enhance the dwell times” and “building the reliability of passenger information displays,” this memo is pure and utter gibberish. We’re going to hold the trains longer at each station, and we’re gonna fix the signs because they clearly aren’t working.

Americans talking about another country’s declining standing on the world stage? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
