I picked up the Analogue Productions 45rpm release of this and I get chills just thinking about how great this is.

A desert island album for me. This was their best lineup and best tour-only because I didn’t see them play with Jimmy Page.

I bought an OG pressing when it came out, just to record it to a cassette because the vinyl was released a week early. Should have held on to it.

Demon Fuzz-Afreaka! Someone turned me onto this years ago and it’s stuck with me. They finally reissued it on vinyl a few years ago. The cd was out of print for a while as well. youtu.be/XQXGVIfYrGQ?...

Curious about which club-I’m in CT

This entire album is HOLY SHIT good…and you get Ginger Baker to boot. I guess this was supposed to be a recording session that turned into a live show at Abbey Road.

Marc F’N Ford on guitars with him on this tour too. RIP Juan Nelson on the bass.

Any time you wanna send this over Dave, I’d be more than happy to check it out! Enjoy!!

I hadn’t listened to this in a long while, and recently when I put it on was shocked at how I knew most all the words to every single song. Such a great album

Maybe the 12”, but I did see a 7” listing with the extra tracks on it as well.

Does the Crowes single have “Words You Throw Away” and “Rainy Day Women” on the B-side?

The CD reissues had an extra disc with a live show and they were fantastic.

I got a peach copy at the beginning of the week and it sounds great!

The hivemind got me to seek this out and it arrived earlier this week. Well worth the purchase-“can you get to that” and “hit it and quit it” are a great 1-2 punch.

My favorite part of the Goo’s lore is them being a punk band for their first three albums on Metal Blade. And “Hold Me Up” is a desert island album for me.

Same, and for under $200

Killer debut album and what a launchpad for Recovering the Satellites.

I sent a video of it to a friend of mine a while back, and when he looked in his, lo and behold it was in there! It’s definitely included in the Blue special edition, but some of the regular pressings have/had it as well.

Dang…I looked in mine for one as well, but I assume it wasn’t in there to begin with.

You evil bastard-I love it!!!

Does it have the spaceship insert??

I wore my cassette out the summer this was released!

That album manages to bend time somehow, and I can’t explain how It feels far longer than its runtime.

It’s perfect from start to finish.

Check for “wly” in the runout on both sides-mastered by Wally Traugott. The record is great already, but Wally’s mix is pretty awesome.

Check out the Doug and Rusty Kershaw episode of Cocaine and Rhinestones for more about the making of On The Beach. I don’t wanna spoil any of it but WOW…you’ll love it even more.

I love going back to an album years later and finding it’s aged even better than expected.

And then there’s his Jack the Ripper gimmick, which is amazing as well.

I saw the last night of the tour in Boston-3hrs 25 minutes straight through, no breaks. Definitely got my moneys worth.

Gonna have to grab this one. I was given a box set of the Otis Redding live cd’s one year for Christmas-I can only imagine this is on par with those.

Anything interesting in the runout on that one?

Desert island album!

One of the most underrated rhythm sections ever!!

First album I bought with my own money.

Iron Maiden’s Piece of Mind was the first record I bought with my own money.

The anniversary reissues have been fantastic.

Does it say “porky” in the runout? Those copies are said to sound pretty good.

I picked this up when it came out after reading what John Popper had to say about it in an interview: “It was so powerful that I’ve started smoking cigarettes again”.

Digital music has changed the vessel that music used to be delivered in. There used to be a presentation with the music you were intaking that was just as much part of the package.

My best friend and I are always finding stuff that we love from our personal collections and gifting each other. Plenty of stuff I can find that he doesn’t have the time to find on his own and vice versa. And my concert buddy would always get tickets to a show for Christmas-that’s a no brainer.

I go back and forth between this and Hollywood Town Hall-so hard to decide between them!

It was definitely an unexpected surprise as I was only familiar with the Hall and Oates records.
