I got a copy of "Wolfenstein: The New Order" some-odd years ago, and never really got around to playing it. Now, 'something' about the political climate makes it wildly more appealing. Still lowkey hate Bethesda, but there's no such thing as a bad time to kill Nazis.

This era of gaming is too focused on copy/paste games with the distinguishing features being some kind of twist/gimmick/aesthetic, and little else to differentiate them. There's a sore lack of 'overly' ambitious games out there. No Man's Sky, by Hello Games, might be my favorite example otherwise.

All I wanted for Christmas was a steam deck. Unfortunately I'm at that age where the only person dumb enough to buy me one of those is me. Is July too late to consider it a late Christmas gift to myself? Gonna be a minute. Happy holidays, everyone. <3

Trying to hook up my under used Nintendo switch to hotel wifi. Needs to be registered before giving me internet access. Console needs to be updated before I can access the page. Need internet to update. Ơ_Ơ

If you haven't watched Shangri-La Frontier yet, do yourself a favor and wait til mid March for season 2 to be done. Then watch. (Code Geass ruined my ability to watch weekly. Those cliffhangers were masterworks that made me want to fly to JP just to slap the writer for being so good at it.) #anime

Recently took a peek at Twitter and the disinformation is getting substantially more dangerous. Someone could get killed. The tactics of constantly repeating outright lies, targeting specific people, repurposing years-old footage and presenting them as new is getting to another level. It’s scary.

I can't overstate how excited I was when gaming got recognized as a legit sport. Until I realized how bad it'd be for the competitive online community. Toxicity skyrocketed, and my interest in PvP dropped. Really, if it's not an official competition, y'all need to chill and enjoy the game.

Really showcasing my age and exactly how long I've been a colossal nerd, but I really miss text-based Multi-User Dungeons (MUDs). Levels without caps, skills without caps, a tangible sense of growth of character, no cookie-cutter builds. Everything felt unique. Even the communities.

Massive library of games to play, and absolutely nothing popping out at me. Depression/anxiety gaming is a pain in the ass. 90% of the time you're looking for something niche as hell, that generally doesn't exist. Also not even knowing what niche you're looking for in the first place.

I'm fairly used to having to mod games, especially the older titles, for the sake of prettying them up to more modern standards, but man did BG3 spoil me. Built in mod functionality with updates and an auto load order? I dream of this being a normalized feature in all games.

For awhile I forgot how my in game time for #FFXV was so high compared to my level in my first playthrough. Then I remembered the "Noctis has a gambling addiction" arc. All coming back to me now.

Mfs will see a Japanese games with medieval castles and knights and then say some shit like “I hope there’s no Western influence in this one.”

When I was young, I considered referencing guides for RPGs to be kinda cheesy. "You should take your time and explore!" Then I hit adulthood, and I get it. I still think going at it blind is the best experience, but finding 200-300h+ to explore every nook is much harder these days.

I had all but given up on social media on a personal level, but it's hard to argue its efficacy as a tool for self-promoting. Considering I've got a project in the works, it feels only right I start posting more, get into the swing of it. When I'm not replaying and cheesing FFXV. Too poor for XVI~
