NBA podcasts are a big reason as well. For every dunkers spot podcast there are 9 Ringer podcasts full of emotional Fan boys , saying that guys suck every day. No real analysis.
I can find 40 NFL pods of people trying to break down what we don’t understand on the field.

This is spot on. Honestly a big part of it is the social media, YouTube and podcast of the nba. For every Dunkers Spot podcast there are 7 pods of random “fanboys” with an account saying what’s bad about the nba. This is about 90% of what the ringer produces in the form of basketball content.

I wish they’d put the game back on at 3pm and go back to the old format. The allstar game is for 12 year olds. They don’t care about the score. They want to see their favorite players play together and do cool stuff

While you can’t make this blanket statement when Giannis tries to get MVP every single time. You can look at Luka and Joker and clearly see they give piss poor effort in the game

Giannis and Embiid play all of them super hard but it’s fair to say Luka and Joker absolutely give piss poor effort in the allstar game.
