BUT PP was so disliked that the NDP and Bloc Voters voted liberal - his popularity numbers were always lower than the party - can’t be ignored

I am sorry this is happening to you.

Very well done. Adrienne was right - you pack a lot into a short amount of time.

Cutting the overnight rate isn’t going to do a thing to solve the Tbill problem - except make it worse.

Huh? This article was all over the place.

And a few countries dumping t-bills in response to the tariffs
comment in response to post
It’s the USD tanking; selling of T-bills and low confidence in the US Economy

And still have the car tariffs

^^ this ^^ for 20+ years productivity has come from outsourcing and offshoring - the people who know how to set up manufacturing are not in the U. S.

That’s why the protests are on the weekends

As a Canadian I am tired of the ra ra-ing from Americans with minimal demonstrated outrage coming from within your own country.

That’s what happens when your leader is detested and people will vote strategically to avoid having to tell people he’s your PM. Hate begets hate.

Only The Post has covered it substantively and they have kept on it over the weekend - it’s election time so the cycle continues over the weekend

I lived in Holland, Germany, the US and home in Canada. Sorry but the USA is #4 in my list of places lived. People were ā€œniceā€ but not welcoming in that they always highlighted I wasn’t American. I hated seeing aged senior citizens working part-time to pay for meds. A great country but not for me.

People need to understand that what started as anger against the government is becoming anger against Americans. The ra ra ra-ing from Americans is getting tired - why are we expected to fight the battle alone?

Nope

Maximum contribution was $1725 per person - his average was $169 per person - highest fundraiser was the winner because he attracted 10x the people to vote and donate

There were 2 women running. Bottom line - the winner was previously the Bank of Canada Governor and the Bank of England Governor. He also has no political experience which has its own appeal. A solid background with a keen understanding of econmics to fight our Maple MAGA conservatives.

He has threatened to go in with the military to ā€œdeal withā€ the warlords. That said he wouldn’t want the Hispanic population so would have no interest in colonizing them.

Very interesting- I agree with the comment that if we push back others won’t be as scared of him

I think she knew waiting it out would only be waiting a few days. Some make the same argument here. Not me.
comment in response to post
Some. Some think we should take the Mexico approach and just wait it out.

CAD popping up - probably an agreement and he’ll say Trudeau agreed to resign (the new leader is picked this weekend).

We need this to happen
comment in response to post
I think he figured he could give one to Mexico but scold Canada for retaliating- CAD seems to be holding up, DOW not really going anywhere

Lol - have you ever found a good Mexican restaurant in Canada?

Canada builds about 1.4 million cars. Canadians buy 1.7 million.
comment in response to post
25% and 50% are really the same thing - they won’t buy at 25% so the 50% means nothing

Pretty well all of my friends are changing travel plans to exclude the US - only partly economic
comment in response to post
I don’t think they did - they objected to the military flights with detainees in shackles. Will only know if we see footage of a flight landing in their country.

My mother once told several of the women who attended church in the 50’s and 60’s would reek of alcohol. People weren’t happier - they just pretended to be.
