Politicians on both sides protect the system before they protect us. What if we changed how representation works? With directed representation, we’d have direct control over the decisions that affect our lives. Let’s stop waiting and start building a better system. Join us: directedrep.org #DRP

Holding politicians accountable should be built into our democracy. With Directed Representation, politicians wouldn’t be able to ‘hide’, their votes would be guided by constituents in real time. Let’s change the system for good. Follow or visit directedrep.org #DirectDemocracy #DRP

It is also the time to start building a real alternative to the parties who keep failing us. People deserve direct power over the decisions that shape their lives. Let’s build a system where politicians don’t ‘play dead’ because they answer directly to us. Follow or visit directedrep.org #DRP

Exactly. These decisions have hard consequences yet the public has little say in them. With direct democracy, policies would be shaped by the people they impact. help the DRP build a system where we don’t just react to bad governance. Follow us or visit: directedrep.org #DirectDemocracy #DRP"

Politicians should be accountable to ALL their constituents. With the direct democracy your voice would be heard every day, not just every four years. Help the DRP build a system where representation isn’t about party loyalty. Follow us or visit: directedrep.org #DirectDemocracy #DRP"

They may have the power to stop it, but they haven’t done a great job using it. They’re playing a game while we’re stuck watching and protesting from the sidelines. Real change will come when the people can directly shape policy. Follow to help build direct democracy directedrep.org

Our political system is designed to keep power out of the hands of ordinary people. If progressive media expands, we’re still stuck with reps who ignore us and two parties that keep us fighting each other. Instead we could work to change the system so people can directly shape policy directedrep.org

Elon's takeover is the prime example of why we need to build direct democracy into our political system. directedrep.org #DRP #directdemocracy

Time and time again, policies like this get pushed through against our will. Because our system isn’t designed to represent us. If we had direct power over policy, we wouldn’t have to beg politicians to do the right thing. It’s time to take back our voice. directedrep.org #DRP#DirectDemocracy

McCormick’s “caution” is a PR move, when it comes time to vote, he’ll likely fall in line. We don’t have to keep hoping politicians will suddenly start listening. We have the power to build a better political process. We just need the courage to make it happen. directedrep.org #DirectDemocracy

Our democracy shouldn't be confined to casting a ballot every few years. True representation would mean having a continuous voice in the decisions that shape our lives. We need to transform passive citizenship into direct democracy. directedrep.org

The political structure still favors those backed by wealth and party machines. What if we didn’t rely on ‘better politicians’ and instead built a system where people directly shaped policy? Directed democracy would means we vote directly on the decisions that shape our lives. directedrep.org

The fact that we have to constantly pressure representatives to act in our interest shows how broken the system is. In addition to protest we need to be building a system where the people have a direct say. We need direct democracy. directedrep.org

Almost half the country doesn’t vote because they aren't represented by either party. If people had power over decisions, they’d have a reason to stay informed. If we could vote on policies more than once every few years, we wouldn’t be stuck waiting for the next election to change course.

The problem isn’t just a few politicians, it’s a system that lets them ignore us until election season. Imagine if they actually had to follow our votes every day, not just when they’re cornered in a town hall. We need to create direct democracy.

We don’t have to accept a democracy where our voices are ignored between elections. We can build something better—where the people have the final say on every decision. That’s the power of direct democracy.

We rely on institutions to protect democracy, but those safeguards are easily undone when power is held by representatives who ignore the people. Instead of just hoping things will be okay, we can demand a system where the people have the final say in shaping our democracy. directedrep.org #DRP

We shouldn't have to rely on the 'right mix' of politicians just to keep power in check. We need to create a system where the people have the final say on executive overreach. Direct democracy would mean no more hoping Congress does the right thing

It’s crucial for us to voice our opinions to our senators. However, we also need to make systemic changes to ensure our voices are heard on a broader scale. Direct democracy would put these decisions in the hands of the people and empower us all long after these votes are cast.
