Reading graphic novels is reading. Reading graphic novels is reading. Reading graphic novels is reading. Reading graphic novels is reading. Reading graphic novels is reading. Reading graphic novels is reading. Reading graphic novels is reading.

Surround yourself with the kind of people who read banned books.

Authors receive a payment every time you borrow a book, audiobook or ebook from libraries in 35 countries. Those countries include the UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Germany to name but a few. Borrowing a book helps the author’s pocket as well as yours.

Reading is very fun when you're not being forced to do it

You're not "late to the party" when you enjoy an old book for the first time. Books don't have an RSVP deadline. The party started long ago, and guests show up when they're meant to.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if all you accomplish this weekend is reading a riveting novel cover-to-cover whilst drinking multiple kettles of tea and consuming a scandalous amount of croissants, then you will have accomplished more than enough.

Audiobooks count as reading. Audiobooks count as reading. Audiobooks count as reading. Audiobooks count as reading. Audiobooks count as reading. Audiobooks count as reading. Audiobooks count as reading.

It’s not hoarding if it’s books. It’s building a personal library.

I think about this question a lot. It’s at the ❤️ of a lot of the work that I do with kids. What is the language that we offer them to see themselves as readers? What is the language that we surround them with? What is the language that stories provide them to make sense of their own existence?

I think adults should get a personal pan pizza for reading books too

Thank you @ginaperry.bsky.social for the fun T-Rex drawing guide. It’s been a perfect Dino-vember activity in our school’s media center! #TLSky #schoollibrary #kidlit #EduSky

Never forget: READING FOR PLEASURE has the biggest positive impact of any factor on children's life chances. So never stop sharing books with kids. Never stop reading to them, and helping them to read. Never stop changing lives. #literacy #kidlit #books

A while ago I saw a “bookcase hack” using egg cartons to raise the back row of double stacked shelves. I’ve been saving egg cartons accordingly but it turns out I don’t eat enough eggs to get this done before the end of time, so I found some castoff wood lengths and OMG. LIFE CHANGING, Book Peeps!!

A safe place to hide from morons is a library or book store.

Don’t like a book? Don’t read it. Pretty simple.

Sharing my latest read for my middle grade classes. The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street. It's about a family living in Harlem who find out they have to move. It's a great read especially at Christmas.
