That said, you should still go to libraries! They’re important now more than ever and a pleasant patron experience can do wonders to help make a librarian’s day better.
I have a recurring dream where I work in a darkened, dusty bookstore somewhere in eastern Europe, and people come to me before starting epic adventures
I feel like the library is also a great place to have a date. The quiet atmosphere somehow allows for a deeper connection with nonverbal communication skills.
Sip N’ Talk—where stories come to life, and loose ends find their meaning.
Imagine gathering around a fireside, where conversations flow freely, laughter and tears mix, and each story reveals a new layer of our shared humanity.
I wish both were around me. When I was a kid and to some extent when I had the time as an adult; I always went to the library to read. It's my secular sanctuary.

Gossiping loudly and letting the kids run wild for hours a day. The worst part, there is no reading happening.

I grew up before the internet. My family weren’t really into education so the only thing I had was the library. I will never forget the first time I discovered the reference section and found the Encyclopaedia Britannica.
Strangely, I also love bookstores 🤣👊🏻

If they were, I think they would be less open
However, I think the thought experiment requires the federal govt to be in charge of all. That’s a different beast I’d argue
I’ll get my coat.
