He / him. Expect a mix of energy sector, data science / machine learning, hobby interests, and probably some politics.

A roundtable of people who have worked in different renewable / climate companies, as opposed to owning / running them, would be really interesting! Just not a white, bearded roundtable. (Says a bearded, white-presenting, cis man...)

Probably time for me to reread this one. Sigh.

There's so much worse happening, but this is still going to hurt some friends.

Seeing Eraserhead once was enough, but my new library is also in this network!

This is reflected in the rapid increase in energy transition spending. The world now spends nearly as much on clean energy ($2 trillion in 2024) as global military spending ($2.4 trillion), and spending on clean energy has increased rapidly in recent years:

Fernet is also nice in cider, optionally with some lemon juice.

I could tinker with this after I finish moving. Seems like Colab would be an OK start if no one has done it yet!

The Fountain - Clint Mansell. I watched this movie once, but I listened to the score many times and learned a piece from it.
Luke Cage - but again, more soundtrack than score.
But yeah, Journey. That should be number 1 with a bullet.

Life is Strange, but that's a soundtrack rather than a score. Still, Obstacles by Syd Matters wrecks me every time.
OMG how did I forget arguably the most iconic video game score of all time...
Journey. Austin Wintory. COME ON.

Hans Zimmer did amazing work with Blade Runner 2049, but obviously owes a debt to the original, iconic Vangelis score.
The Alien from Annihilation will be with me forever.
Cohen's Masterpiece from BioShock. I hope I can master it before I age beyond the physical ability to play it.

But there's so much other great stuff!
Mass Effect 1 is up there for sure. Along with Leaving Earth from ME3.
Anthem by Sarah Schachner. Super underrated IMO.
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. The franchise has great music, but this one knocked it out of the park.

The original StarCraft score is indelibly engraved in my brain. There's no escaping it.
Hollow Knight is one of the few scores where I listen to the whole thing start to finish.
Cowboy Bebop is Cowboy Bebop. 3, 2, 1, let's jam!

I can only hope that turnover in leadership results in better outcomes... but I wouldn't be surprised to see the party keep moving right instead.

Instead, the party saw Biden's unpopularity and seemingly concluded that he'd been too progressive and they should move back to the centre-right. That mistake became obvious pretty quickly on election day.
Now the error is clear, and so is the policy prescription for next time.

"But, inflation!" I don't concede this point. It's not at all clear that any of these policy levers contributed significantly to inflation compared to the extreme supply chain shocks caused by the pandemic.
But okay, hypothetically, stop the direct stimulus if you must. Keep the other things!

Eviction bans. Debt repayment pauses. Health insurance coverage guarantees. A dozen or more, including actual stimulus.
A progressive economic policy package that helped people. I was baffled when they just... ended.
People rightly associate the loss of those measures with Biden.
