The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be.

When you get like 3 hours to enjoy a game weekly you don’t want it spent like your youth - taking pride in beating the boss battle after 5 hours. I want to play the story! It’s like watching an HBO show weekly.

A good popular counter is the name ‘Fiona’ which, despite sounding older and more ‘authentic’ is practically brand new by comparison and was first coined by either the Scottish men William Sharp (1855-1905 - used it as a pen-name) or James macpherson (1736-1796).

To be fair I respect it trying to make the windows make sense with AG considering so many other designs stick them wherever with little thought to the interior.
The Luna class from Star Trek is pretty glaring for this. Looking at the underside of the saucer people would be walking on the windows.

The facts of the progress are impressive enough that there’s no need to make blanket statements that could hide something as statistically relevant as a small risk.

My only critique here is that taking Prep vastly reduces your chance of catching HIV. But, much like condoms efficacy, doesn’t remove the chance of it happening at all. The point though is solid - with current medical knowledge you’ll die from diabetes before you die from HIV. Stigma needs to stop.

From a Scot - Lack of free education. Make your populace idiots by design and it’s easy to manipulate them. Make your universities pay to win and you have a population of people who could otherwise be analytical in thought - and idiots with money get to buy academic prestige. Who runs the show?

Arven would be such boyfriend material in real life. Overarching desire to save his dog through cooking. That wavy hair and that motivation? C’mon!

Haha! I live in Australia now and everytime I say ‘It’s Blowin a Hooley!’ There’s always a weird look. Normally from some guy called Lachlan ironically. I love that Scottish phrase.

Is that not because everyone spoke French near that point in the court and then there was a divide where they did not like French. Fun to see the linguistic divide.

Fair point actually. Maybe it’s meant to be breathing upwards to God? Like, pure breath up? Sounds like a Rabbithole is a’comin for me

Seriously. If I read that from my mother I’d likely be having a face to face conversation with a moving bus after.

Nostalgia: Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I only ever remember hearing it in relation to the last Friday before Christmas working in pubs. It was Black Friday because all the workers’ last day would be a fucking nightmare, not to mention for ambulances etc as well. That was about 2005. Bugger all to do with shopping.
