Helping people is all that matters.. Liberal. Civil rights is a long arc. It's never in the past. I won't give MAGA the benefit of the doubt again. Pro-democracy. I will never go back. When you feel yourself slipping, I'll carry your load.

But I stayed afraid of that neighbor. He kept harassing me. Looking back now, I should've pressed charges. He showed me darkness. But I didn't really understand it until the Haitian migrant conspiracy. Some ppl just make stuff up. He did all of that to me because that's what he wanted to do.

When he said that he "heard" me from downstairs with an imaginary visitor laughing about white people, I thought, "But I've always defended and served white people. I've done everything I could for white people. I'd never say anything bad about them."

I call my mom, crying. She says she'll come over. I beg her not to. Then, when he comes over, he runs her off. She calls the police. But I kept trying to avoid pressing charges. The prosecutor said I should for my safety, but I didn't want the man to get a criminal record. I thought he'd get better

I didn't understand. I didn't get it. Where was this coming from? But that was the time before the Haitian migrants conspiracy where I felt fear. He was threatening real violence for paranoia. Another day, he blocked my way down the stairs. It didn't make any sense.

I'd tell my grandparents we were safe now and that we could move on. I'd tell them that times have changed. I'd even argue with them and say they were stuck in the past. But now I get their skepticism and why time and progress could not get them to lower their guard. The shadow is always lurking.

That scared the hell out of me. After over a decade living and working and serving clients in predominantly white spaces, I had to leave. I'm a trusting guy. I never had fear of the other. I embraced the other. But this fear. It shakes me. It makes me nauseous.

All the effort I had put into existing in their spaces & believing they would respond in good faith evaporated. If I took a picture w/ a cat or a dog, I wouldn't look any different than the black people in those images. Any black person could be accused of eating pets bc that was what they wanted.

I talk about the Haitian migrant conspiracy over and over because that's when it really crystallized. My Facebook timeline was flooded with images of black people with kittens and puppies, and the posts and comments were all about how the black people are stealing these animals to eat.

The MAGA who hated big tech and were tricked into supporting big tech now get to see big tech move on without them. They got fooled into trusting one guy. That guy fooled them into trusting his friends and backers. Then, they get fooled by his friends & backers. They hold that bag like an heirloom

Governance by meme is wild. The internet didn't exactly turn out the way I thought it would.

He's been talking about how he wants rare earths. So now we have less rare earths.

These women do the work. Whether their hair is up or their hair is down, they do the work.

What moved me was, "Fear has a way of being contagious... Courage is also contagious." For some reason, people went out of their way to figure out how to humble a group of black women and buried that everyone there called for courage at the same time.

And people outside church make the purpose of life preventing suffering, needless death, and fighting injustice. The purpose of securing another life doesn't make this life any better or directly address the issues facing beings of flesh and the world we live in.

It shouldn't be this easy to get shot 3 times. His family told the officers not to, but they started shooting 12 seconds after leaving their car. People can't just die like this. Our disabilities don't make us things you can put down. When we trust authorities, it shouldn't be life or death.

SO MUCH.. losing Sometimes, they lose more. Sometimes, they lose less. But they never stop losing.

I'm glad to see so many people outside the church and who left. They really made it that life would be over if we left, but life didn't really start until then.

And Arkansas ranked second in the country for rape last year under Alaska.

Thinking about my home state of Arkansas being near the top in the country in fertility when it's at the top in maternal mortality irks me. I wouldn't want that to be rewarded. Fertility is a gimmick for a lot of these states. Because they do nothing for mothers or their families.

They accomplish breeding. It's just they have higher populations who are unwilling, underage, and suffering severe health complications afterward. But yeah, they accomplish breeding.

In his cost-benefit analysis, recession was worth it. But a depression is a prolonged and more severe recession. Volunteering an economy into a recession just because you believe it won't drag out is a gamble that hurts real people for no real upside for the country.

Oil, another area I watch, was back at pandemic levels. The heaviness I felt as companies started announcing layoffs was with me the entirety of each day. But he's probably going to do this more. Just to show people he can bring us over a cliff & pull us back when he wants as a way to get loyalty.

He had us panic buying toilet paper, and now he's got us panic buying phones and cars. This is the economy of an autocrat. Wild swings in inflation, interest rates & currency, unpredictable business environment, fears of retaliation & murky policy & regulation,& no steady place to park investment.

The range on the volatility index trough to peak was over 50% The volatility index fell at market open to under 37 and popped to over 57 at the high before leveling off. That's a move of over 50% in a day, which is crazy.
