So we are cutting jobs of federal employees to pay one Private Prison $1,000,000,000 to house "up to 1,000" immigrants in New Jersey. That's a million dollars per immigrant. We could buy each immigrant a house 🏠 and put their kids thru college for a million dollars.

FAA officials ordered staff on Friday to find tens of millions of dollars for a Starlink deal, sources tell us, and most or all of these directives came verbally, which we are told is highly unusual. w/ @swin24.bsky.social @rollingstone.com www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

there is really going to be no option but to prosecute these people the second they are out of power if we ever want a chance to fix this country

Pixie and Kato. Collaborators and sometimes pals.

Some people will look at this and only see how foolish it is. But what it also is an attempt to set up a blameless, unaccountable arbiter by inserting automation into a “decision making” process. And tbh I wish more people at more news outlets would call that out.

Pasta with pesto, fresh mozzarella, basil , and roasted tomatoes/garlic

I will never forgive the people who bought into the "government should be run like a business" bullshit.

Here is a great website, where you can put in your zip code and see what specific cuts in Social Security in your area Republicans are proposing and what that will mean for you specifically. democrats-budget.house.gov/house-republ...

BREAKING: Lumon Industries CEO Kier Eagan announces company will stick by its Diversity Equity and Inclusion goals even facing shareholder pressure, stating that "all members of the Eagan family - born or chosen - are welcome to make the world a better place here at Lumon"

I've read most of the analyses of the DOGE 2025 "receipts" site. This, from NPR, is the best I've read so far. Some of what they claim to have cut haven't been cut, other "cuts" will incur costs down the road. NPR says DOGE has made $2B of cuts, not $55B. www.npr.org/2025/02/19/n...

Salmon and honey mustard roasted potatoes for dinner. Get jealous

I feel like I'm going insane every time I see a media story about DOGE that doesn't also mention the fact that the Government Accountability Office exists and performs the exact function that DOGE pretends to, only in a credibly constitutional, non-partisan, and conflict-of-interest-free manner

Openly defining the rule of law as whatever he says it is. Happening right in front of us.

The IRS was a simple test for DOGE: was it really interested in efficiency and state capacity? If so, you support the tax enforcement, the biggest ROI in govt. Or did it want to minimize parts of the state that bothered billionaires? We have our answer. open.substack.com/pub/donmoyni...

Firing the enforcement ppl is a really big tell. CBO estimates that each dollar spent on enforcement (mostly wages) yields $6 to $9 in avoided taxes. Cutting enforcement is one of the biggest deficit-raising acts one can do. www.cbo.gov/publication/...

huge part of the reason why these scandals don't stick is because dems don't treat them as scandals. they should be outraged! every senator should be screaming at any reporter that they can find that this is one of the greatest scandals in DOJ history! instead dems are literally flying out of town

Anyway here's how it played in the press last time anything went this far, just for reference

NEW: At least three more DOJ Public Integrity Unit senior officials have resigned after meeting with Emil Bove on the Eric Adams case. Five in Public Integrity overall. That’s six officials who resigned, triple the number that happened during the Saturday Night Massacre.

This movie is so entertaining, but I feel like I’ve forgotten it just like most other movies we watched during COVID

Every day is chaos. Every fucking day.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS SO FUCKING WEIRD, MAN.

if they made like 17 more Beekeeper movies where Jason Statham just systematically murdered a different category of scammer in every movie it would be the biggest and most successful film franchise on the planet

glad that the 19 year old who might have access to some of the government’s most sensitive data has a past of leaking documents to competitors, doing cybercrimes, and sucking at doing those crimes. good stuff.

Musk's intern "Big Balls" was in an internet nazi satanic pedophile hacking cult, he was under FBI investigation for cybercrimes and he was given access to US Treasury classified informatIon, including your grandma's social security and bank account numbers just repeat that over and over again

Tomorrow is Bandcamp Friday! I've got a little list of music to buy, how about you? @bandcamp.com

Did you ever wish that your fist was made of metal and you could crush what needed crushing?

They all should be doing this. At the least!

Kato. Meditating before dinner

“Last week, regional managers for the [GSA] received a message from the agency’s Washington headquarters to begin terminating leases on all of the roughly 7,500 federal offices nationwide,“ “The order seems to contradict Trump’s own return-to-office mandate” apnews.com/article/trum...

An Introduction to..? To what, I don’t know yet! It just feels like it should be the introduction to a track that I’ve not created yet. A continuation of my explorations of the Polyend Synth & Play. #SynthSky #electronicmusic youtu.be/BWCPpo0LwJI

Monday night dinner. Chicken and cous cous with a cucumber tomato and feta salad. A little tatziki and some olives too. #yummy

Unknown Futures (Polyend SYNTH & PLAY) Some Dub Techno for your ears. I was determined to use only one pattern for this, with varying lengths for each lane so that I could focus on what is going on between the two machines. #SynthSky #dawlessjam youtu.be/amf4PJTJikk

Elon Musk now has access to your Social Security number. The world’s richest man has gained access to the confidential personal information of every taxpayer in the United States.

Elon Musk is not a Federal employee or a political appointee. DOGE is not a real department. None of their activities are legal. This is a coup. The Republicans in Congress are willing participants in it. At what point do Democrats in DC get that and start acting like it? It’s not the price of eggs!

The men carrying out Musk's coup are Akash Bobba, Edward Coristine, Luke Farritor, Gautier Cole Killian, Gavin Kliger, and Ethan Shaotran. Make them famous. And, eventually, when possible, arrest them and charge them with multiple felonies. www.wired.com/story/elon-m...

If each Treasury payee is a separate record, and there are, say, 68,000,000 social security payees (as is estimated), then at $5000 per violation, it seems like Elon could be penalized $340 billion if he unlawfully accessed their Treasury records...

NEW: Two top security officials at USAID were put on admin leave Saturday night after refusing to allow officials from Musk’s DOGE to access systems at the agency, even after DOGE personnel threatened to call law enforcement, multiple sources familiar told CNN www.cnn.com/2025/02/02/p...

Just a reminder that Musk couldn’t get a top level security clearance. And he was under investigation for violating the terms of the clearance he did have. Now he has your Social Security number, your tax returns, and is unilaterally deciding who the government does and does not pay.

The unanimous talking point from every Dem should be “these people should be arrested and jailed immediately”

This is potentially both the largest security breach and largest graft in US history

Several conversations today w people in the key executive departments. And while the particulars are hard to pin down my impression is that the Musk take over stuff is considerably worse than is being presented in the press. By this I don’t necessarily things they *done* yet but the level of …
