London bus stop near Amazon HQ 🔥

Not sure who needs to hear this, but any govt official who violates someone's constitutional rights -- and is acting outside the scope of their lawful authority -- can be PERSONALLY liable in a civil suit. ICE officers. Cabinet members. White House staffers. Even the president.

Put aside the lies and the open defiance of the Supreme Court, as well as the cruelty, and ask yourself: who talks like this? This is the *official* account of the *White House* - is it being run by a six year old?

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

The good news is that the constitution provides ways for Congress and the Judiciary to reign in a power-hungry president. The bad news is those people are all scared of him.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

@booker.senate.gov: "Are we a nation that is going to tolerate this, or a nation that's going to stand up? As the great Frederick Douglass said, 'the limits of tyrants are prescribed by the people that they seek to oppress.' How much will we endure before we say enough is enough?"

Raskin: If they can just sweep someone off the street, put them on an airplane, and send them to a torturer’s prison in an authoritarian state like El Salvador without due process… then they could do it to anybody.

Every time I read about these law firms caving I think about the sporting goods store owner in the Sopranos who got in hock to Tony and how Tony’s crew ended up cleaning out his store and bankrupting him …. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bust_Out

I’m running out of expressions of outrage. Sliding into _______. Not sure what say anymore. It is all authoritarian.

Adolf Hitler's “Mein Kampf” is still on U.S. Naval Academy shelves. “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and “Memorializing the Holocaust” are not. An order by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s office led to a purge of books that are critical of racism — but preserved volumes defending white power.

This was three months ago.

They are obviously slow learners

My hometown paper ☕️💅🏽

Baltimore #TeslaTakedown at Owings Mill Tesla!

They’re not going to get out of this by playing semantics. Sending detailed information about an upcoming military strike on unclassified channels (and even to the wrong guy) is wrong, reckless, and obviously a threat to American troops.

Is this true?

#BlueskyResistance #Voices4Victory #ProudBlur Advertisement at a London bus stop. Ya gotta love the British…

This is how it’s done.

Important follow-up on my pinned report and my recent post about the takeover at OPM: The Washington Post has confirmed the claims below. There is indeed a takeover of the federal government happening that is being coordinated by people outside the government who have gotten access to U.S. servers.

Say it ain’t so, Target.

In summary...

This is the cowardice of the Washington Post. Legacy media is failing.

There are 3000 counties in US and ~500 of them are blue. They house half the population and generate 72% of American wealth. They are the hubs for innovation and economic activity. If you want to live in a backwater, that’s fine, but drop the piety.

🎯

So this gem is included in House Resolution 7, titled " Recognizing the importance of access to comprehensive, high-quality, life-affirming medical care for women of all ages." introduced by Andy Biggs. Ummmm. What the actual fuck?

Yep.

Time to unfollow @washingtonpost.com.

While we’re banning books… Finland is teaching children in school how to recognize fake news and propaganda as part of critical thinking and civic responsibility. Some of this will seem very familiar. Be. Like. Finland.

Ann Telnaes, a Washington Post editorial cartoonist who has been with the newspaper for sixteen years, just quit her job after the cartoon below—which depicts Post owner Jeff Bezos and other CEOs bowing to Donald Trump—was spiked. It's another huge blow to the credibility of a once-great newspaper.

Bravo, @anntelnaes.bsky.social. I guess the new slogan for the Washington Post ought to be: “Newspapers die in cowardice.” anntelnaes.substack.com/p/why-im-qui...

Why are Bezos, Zuckerberg, Musk, Pichai and Tim Cook visiting and giving money to Trump ? Because they are in “The Race “ to become the dominant platform in the world. Amazon/Anthropic vs FB/LLama vs Google/Gemini vs Twitter/Grok, vs IPhones/ChatGpt is the penultimate global power war ever.

Ann Telnaes, a Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist at The Washington Post, says her cartoon below was killed by Jeff Bezos, the paper’s owner. Bezos didn’t want the cartoon to become public because it shows him kneeling before Donald Trump. You know what to do.

I think maybe I detest all tech bros forever

Trump in August: "From the day I take the oath of office, we’ll rapidly drive prices down, and make America affordable again. Prices will come down. You just watch. They’ll come down and they’ll come down fast." Trump now: “It's hard to bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard."

In stark contrast, Bluesky didn’t donate shit to Trump’s inaugural fund.

“They had no choice.”

After I got my doctorate in health admin, I could have taken a cushy job atop a corporate health firm & gotten rich off denying claims, but instead, I chose a low-paying civil service job to help care for Veterans & the Military. So don't give me that "he was only doing his job" crap.

Same with women at hotels attending conferences?

This is the most-read piece on @theatlantic.com. It should be the most-read piece. You should all read it, even though it may make you sad. Here’s a gift link so you can read it. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

“Don’t feed the trolls” also extends to bad opinion pieces in papers of record. They run them bc people react to them the most. If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change. It’s not easy and takes constant practice!

Wow! @joncooper-us.bsky.social is almost at 300,000 followers! Jon is an absolutely pivotal voice and deserves a much bigger following here. It’s so important for us create a tight community. Can you repost this and follow him to get there by midnight?

BREAKING: Bombshell report reveals Pete Hegseth — Trump’s pick to lead the Pentagon — was booted out of two vets groups due to reckless handling of funds, sexual impropriety, and public intoxication. First Hegseth’s own mother essentially blew the whistle on her womanizing, abusive son. Now…

So, I guess I am trying this out. Don’t really miss twitter, but anything to stick it to Elon.
