Heās such a dick.
He shortsighted and lacks vocabulary and critical thinking skills.
But above all, Trump is a royal dick.

It sociopathic, but it makes sense.
They really donāt understand unforeseen events though. I donāt think they accounted for Elon and Vanceās increasing irrelevance.
If this theory is correct,, they also underestimated Vanceās anti-charisma.

Chili I take that back. I was listening to a podcast with Sarah Longwell, and she and someone else were saying that there was a group of conservatives who are hoping to use Trump as the disruptor and then Vance and his crew come in clean it up and gain all the power.
That does make sense.

I am bewildered by the total capitulation/embrace of Trump by so many otherwise intelligent people. Iām a psychologist. Maybe itās bc I work with kids- but I have no understanding/ empathy for what we are seeing.
I get the narcissistic sociopath thing (Trump & Elon). I donāt understand Vance, etc.

The hypocrisy is appalling. And he actually is smart- unlike so many in the maga cult, he knows better.

Iām a middle aged psychologist- so stupid for me to say- but it feels like an uprising would preferable to watching two men & their minions destroy the US and tear down the entire world order with their greed & hubris.
Speeches, protestsā¦ Voting in 2 years
Theses seem grossly inadequate.

This fills me with a helpless rage and despair- and I have no direct ties to Ukraine.
1. I am so sorry, Ukraine and all those directly affected.
2. What can we do to stop this horror. I mean, weāre already operating outside the constitution (not here but in other ways).

I will savor my schadenfreude in silence while saying aloud (in my strongest accent):
Welcome back to sanity. No, we understand sweetie pie. Now,you just park your vindictiveness & cruelty right over there & letās see if we canāt clean up the mess yāall made- bless your racist selfish lil hearts.

What a stupid baby answer: āoh yeah- he wasnāt even born here- so there (his jutted chin is the equivalent of a little boy sticking out his tongue).
How do his followers not see his insecurity?
It is the first thing you see after the orange and the hair

My 15 yo rapped me on the shin.
Me: ouch- that hurt- thereās nothing but bone there.
Him (with a bewildered shrug): i mean, you were guarding your stomach.

I have removed the most egregious.
My aunt is one of those ignorant trump supporters.
(Not mean- ignorant & in a bubble) And I love her.
And I made some headway during her last visit.
She reads FB but never enters the fray.
So everything I post/ argument I counter is really for herā¦

I think it also relieves pain.
In fact, No one has to pay into the swear jar if the explicative is in response to a sudden pain.
Unfortunately, they all tell me that reading a news article doesnāt count. š

Yeah but I know these people.
I went to elementary, jr high and high school with most of them.
The latter school was named after that noble southern gentleman who reluctantly led the south into battle.
These are not bots
And they love Trump.
They havenāt understood my life choices for decades.

We need more of this!!
Our side has fewer guns- but statistically better education and presumably more brain power (logically and based on evidence I should think).
Do more of this people with good coding skills!!!!

Iām pretty sure my FB posts will assure that I am run out in a rail if I were ever to return to my hometown of Baton Rouge.
At least thatās what many of my old HS crowd tells me.
Their responses suggest that they think Trump is a god and Iām many words that should make my kidsā curse jar overflow.

I like to think I will.
I am but I donāt yet have skin in the game. Iām not a politician or anyone of importance.
I resist, I donate, I stay informed, I argue & spread the word.
But Iām nobody.
Will I stand up when there is a real cost?
I think so.
I hope so.

I think it was Anne applebaum who interviewed a woman who lived under a full oligarchy and told her- no one stood up. No one challenged
The question is not why so many cave but why some donāt.
Like milgramās findings & the Stanford prison experiment.
Standing up is extraordinarily hard.

It is unfathomable.
To paraphrase the esteemed Hagan Scotten:
He may find someone who will follow you if you twist their lady parts hard enough, but twill never work with me.
And I think he has some balls in his sights but I think maybe he just recognized how few of people have actual spines.

Not governing skills.
Political skills.
He makes me throw up in my mouth while my lady parts twist into knots of revulsion, but no one can deny that he has been effective at messaging (through lies, bullying, etc.) to a portion of this population- the lower 47 plus the sociopathic 1%.
