Solidly GenX here, started gaming on handhelds and in arcades, then a Commodore C16/+4, bounced through Atari and Amiga before settling on PC and mostly self-building since then. I can't get my head around the "You're too old to have fun! Stop it, you're icky" sentiment which the rage-baiters push.

...and on a related note, if you're in the market for a freelance proofreader or writer with experience in expanding and creating RPG lore, scenarios and fiction, my contact email is in my bio.

Switch it up sometimes with "It'll never fit" :-)

Thank you, that's lovely to hear! Your videos are wonderfully honest and informative, great to see.

What's quite useful is when players share niche knowledge with those whose characters know such things but don't themselves.

Taking down one tripod was more than the gunners managed, IIRC :-)

There are two songs that invariably make me cry. I get Queens Who Wants To Live Forever, but Thunderchild baffles me, it's my favourite track on the album!

Still one of my all-time favourite Who stories :-) I was about the same age as Ace at the time and thought she was very cool.

It's the eyes...and the fact that their noses block their mouths, for me.

Apologies if this sounds gushing, but you've been one of the best ADHD people I've spotted on social media. I think it was (in part) reading your posts & book that made me think "Hmm" and as a result, I got an adult diagnosis last week, & started meds today. Thank you for being realistic and helpful

Was able to look objectively at a project I was worried about and nail what I need to do to complete it tomorrow instead of beating myself up and forcing myself to do it today. Pulse 10bpm lower than normal relaxed state. Fewer typos :)

One of the first of my dad's sci-fi collection that I smuggled to read on the school bus when I was really a smidge too young :D

There was a period when a UK distributor was getting rid of stock & you could pick up polybags of half a dozen random comics for £2. Scored a lot of Valiant, mostly Dr Mirage, Ninjak & Shadowman with a sprinkling of Harbingers & Bloodshot, + some wonderfully batshit Badger, Grimjack & WildC.A.T.S.

Always nice to see Valiant getting some love. Personally adore both version of Dr Mirage :)

Came in while I was at school. Probably might have sorted out my personal alignment a damn sight sooner without it.

The map is a thing of beauty and loaded with so many Easter eggs :-)
